Bab 13: Wrong Side

Surprise flickered in Lu Jianjun's eyes as he caught the suspicious glare from Li Na. Her frown was a clear signal that she was dissecting everything in her mind, and he couldn't help but wonder what she was piecing together. He followed her gaze, which was fixated on Louis's ear—specifically, the diamond platinum earring gleaming in the light.

But then it hit her. Li Na's eyes narrowed as she scrutinized Louis's frame. This was the right side, but the earring she remembered from that night had been on the left. It was a classic case of "I've seen this face before, but something's off."

She replayed that dark night in her mind—the shadowy figure under dim lights, the angle of the light casting shapes that had obscured details.
