Jamie sat on the stool in front of a mirror while a new maid worked on her short red hair. She could see the frustration on the maid's face. She was probably thinking why a Queen would decide to do something as sacrilegious as cut her beautiful hair until it was so short.

"What is your name?" Jamie asked the frustrated girl.

"Heavens, my Queen" Her voice was a bare whisper.

"It's such a beautiful name, How old are you?" 

"Sixteen, are you going to punish me for being incompetent?" 

Jamie could sense the fear in the girl's voice.

"Hmm" someone grunted in the room.

Jamie tried to ignore the sound, just like she ignored that she was sharpening her sword in her room and she was Queen.
