Holly roused me from sleep at an ungodly hour. Her hands frantically shook my shoulders.

In a panic I sprang up, one arm protectively over Izzy, the other drawing a blade from my space to aim at her throat. 

"Shit, don't wake me like that," I murmured groggily, putting away the blade to rub the sleep from my eyes. 

"Get up, we need to leave now," Holly hissed, picking the still-sleeping Izzy up. Frowning I followed her lead and stumbled, still half asleep. 

"What's wrong?"

Before she could reply, I heard the sound of a blood-curdling scream.

My eyes widened as I pulled the baby carrier out of my space and pulled Izzy back out of Holly's arms to secure her firmly to my front. Her fluttering eyelashes showed her, green eyes as she blinked at me confused and unwilling to wake up.
