Everyone There froze it didn't matter how far away the person who shot the arrow was, what mattered was that it was practically pitch dark. Before they could react they heard a male voice, " Die," A man dressed in a clean red tunic appeared from the top of the trees he landed in front of one of the men slicing his throat before he could react.
"By the Gods what is Achilles doing here," That man barely got his words out as an arrow shot through his eyes.
"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to fight," Achilles said as he ducked under the blade of a sword thrusting his sword backward he pierced the neck of a man.
Ibios quickly realized he was talking to him as he joined in the fight he swung his sword towards the man closest to him. That man did the same causing their blades to clash Ibios gritted his teeth as the man in front of him tried to overpower him. Relaxing his sword Ibios the man fell forward not expecting Ibios to back out of the battle of strength Ibios swung his sword towards the man's neck disconnecting his head from his body.
Ibios didn't have time to react as a sword was aiming towards his back right before it connected a sword intercepted causing that man's sword to stray from its path, turning around Ibios watched as a beauty no worse than Hera appeared by his side. Her skin was pale as marble and her long black hair flowed like the seven seas, Ibios found himself lost in her green eyes.
"So you've finally decided to put down your bow and join the fight, Pallas," Achilles chuckled as he killed another man.
Pallas ignored Achilles remark as thrust her sword forward stabbing into the gut of the man before her.
Ibios's eyes widened as he saw her kill the man so easily, for some reason even when he saw Achilles kill so easily he wasn't surprised. But looking at the woman in front of him he was sure she was a better warrior.
"Friend I see you have taste meet the beauty from Athens Pallas," Achilles continued his onslaught while making trivial chatter.
"My name Is Ibios, It's nice to meet you both," Ibios smiled before his eyes narrowed focusing on the rest of the men standing before them. They made quick work of the rest of the men Ibios stood in front of the last one his sword placed against his neck.
"Wait don't kill me, please I have a wife and a kid." Ibios raised an eyebrow looking at the man, "It's information you want right I'll tell you who sent us to kill you."
"Speak," Ibios demanded.
"The captain has a cousin he's a horse merchant he promised gold and a beautiful mare to my cousin if he sent men to kill you."
"Is that all," Ibios pressed his sword against the man's sword applying pressure.
"What's the corinthian army doing this close to Thebes," Achilles said as he crossed his arms leaning against a tree.
"We're preparing to attack Thebes, our king and the king of Thebes have hated each other for years. Corinth has called every man they have for this war we'll be sure to take Thebes before the winter.
"Too bad you won't be alive to see it," Ibios slowly pushed the blade of his sword forward puncturing the neck of the man. Blood sprayed Ibios made sure to avoid it as he removed his blade from the man's neck.
"Thank you Achilles," Pallas wiped the blood from her sword as she looked at Achilles.
"Pallas your beauty alone commands me, although Prometheus promising to point me towards my next journey did help a little," Achilles chuckled. Ibios raised an eyebrow hearing that name he was told to seek out Prometheus and from what he could tell both Achilles and Pallas knew him.
"Ibios, I hope we'll meet in Thebes," Achilles stayed no longer stepping through the thicket of trees he disappeared.
Ibios turned his attention to Pallas once again admiring her beauty though wondered if this was the right place to do such a thing as he looked at the bodies that littered the ground.
"Ibios of troy come we must be on our way," Pallas didn't wait for a reply as she jumped into the air landing on the back of Gale. Gale made to throw her off but Pallas whispered into her ear immediately calming her down. Ibios was amazed it took him quite some time to tame Gale and yet just a whisper from Pallas had calmed her.
"Well, you coming or not?" Pallas looked down at Ibios.
Ibios cleared his mind before hopping onto Gale as well inching closer to Pallas he wondered if she would mind him gripping her waist seeing as she was holding reins. Deciding to risk it he raised his hands slowly bringing them to the waist of Pallas. He felt her freeze as his hands gripped her waist softly, "If we weren't in such a hurry you'd be walking."
"Don't forget this is my horse," Ibios leaned closer into Pallas looking at her face.
"Yes and she's a beautiful Mare but I could get her to forget you in a couple of sentences," Gale neighed in response agreeing with Pallas. "Besides it's not like you could retaliate as you are currently you're weak."
Ibios frowned feeling betrayed, both Achilles and Pallas were amazing fighters but he didn't think they were that much better than him. 'I wonder if they have something going on,' Ibios shook his head knowing it was none of his business. Besides would Pallas be here on his horse if she had something going on with Achilles.
