Huh? He snapped out of his trance only to realize that more soldiers wearing the imperial armor had surrounded the area. Rhys grabbed hold of her wrist. "Hold on, you can't deal with that many."

"No your-" Rhys paused when a bright red aura surrounded Lyn and flames surrounded her body. She--

"I never told you before, but this is my special characteristic magic. It's unusual isn't it? I should have the power to use one element, but I can use two. The mist and these flames will protect me. That's why Rhys, you should deal with this old flame of yours quickly."

Hah, she isn't even a former woman. Layla was just one of the many people he used to fill the void in his heart. But, it seems like for this woman, the brief interactions they had with one another meant so much to her.
