"Ahh…" He looked at the burnt hand, closing it and opening it again before staring at the gated cell.

There is no smoke… And isn't metal this hot supposed to be a bit reddish?'

There was no hint or visual indicator that the gate was supposed to be burning hot, and the heat didn't feel like a normal burn either; normally, you would feel it in your skin, but this heat flowed through his veins and even warmed up his heart a bit, not in a good way. 

"Erune?" 

"Huh?" He took a few steps back as he heard his name called. It wasn't Nessarose and the tone of the voice was familiar, too. "Elius?" 

The Wizard Elius was a wizard from the Magic Tower of Veridiana, a highly experienced 6-circle wizard who lacked mana; well, a lot of male magicians lacked mana, and for many, 6 circles were the max. 

And even though they both were friends, now, Erune could see a different look on his face, "Don't tell me…"
