Bab 285: From the beginning

Kaley's Pov

For some reason I was angry at his declaration.

I stood up, to give us some distance, barely made it to the armchair when I felt his hand on me.

"Stop misunderstanding me on purpose. I meant you are just…a child"

He turned me around and the force of the very gentle turning, caused me to bump into him.

We stared at each other.

"I beg your pardon! I am twenty six" I stated as a matter of fact "In a perfect world, I would be married with six kids and a dog" I told him.

"Then why aren't you married, Alpha Kaley?"

"Because men are asses! present company included!" I told him spitefully.

I waited for the spiteful words I knew would follow, the hurtful things in store for me but he did groan.

"I'm sorry. I guess I am an ass but just so we are clear. We didn't fuck"

"Why are you so sure we didn't…"
