Bab 54: Chapter 54 : A Few Minutes Late
The Beast Titan's name was Kamui, and he yelled, "You're a tough one aren't ya?! Okay, here I go!"
He was about to step forward, but then a loud voice spoke throughout the entire Garden realm.
The voice said, "Kamui."
Kamui stopped in his tracks, and sighed, "Hehh? What is it?"
Up high on the tallest water wave, were 4 Titans. All with Titles.
The Time Titan: His name was Ranbu, silky long white hair, golden yellow eyes, and wore a golden and white robe and white gloves. His abilities are on one accord with manipulating time but at a cost. He was seen as the head of the Garden realm.
The Love Titan: Her name was Suuyin, wavy long pink hair, freckles, pale skin, pink eyes with cat thin pupils, and always wore pink. Even though she is the Love Titan, her power resembles Host Kedarah's abilities in a similar way..
The War Titan: His name was Gear. He had black flowy hair that was alway floating upwards, he had brown eyes, scars all over his face, and some parts of his skin and face were dark purple. His abilities are very diverse when it comes to war and battle.
The Realm Titan: His name was Ark, he had long braided black hair, purple skin, white eyes, a red eye on his forehead, four arms with a bunch of jungle bracelets on them, and he had small glowing crescent moons all over his body. He could create realms, but only to a certain extent. Those realms are filled with whatever Ark wants to be filled with, and those realms can be as deadly or strong as much as Ark wants it to be.
They all were a few feet taller than Duri.
Duri looked up high at them, saying, "Umm.."
Ranbu, the Time Titan, said to Kamui, "What are you doing?"
"We're about to have a tea party…WE'RE ABOUT TO FIGHT OBVIOUSLY!"
"Why?"
"I wanna see if he is the real Angel Titan. If he is really one of us. Powers are crazy nowadays, can't trust anyone. Especially since we had a Titan go rogue on us."
"Duri is the real Angel Titan. Fighting him is pointless. He is new to his Titan powers, putting a strain on a newbie could possibly kill him."
"Listen, I didn't gather all of these Titans around for nothing. They wanna see a show! I'll give them one!"
The crowd of Titans cheered, and Duri just stood there.
Suuyin said, "Oiii, hi Duri!!"
Duri responded, "You remind me…of Host Kedarah."
"Oooo, everyone says that! She and I are best friends!"
"Figures."
Gear, the War Titan said, "Foolish games of dueling! It's war we need to prepare for! Zabel is getting stronger by the second!"
Ark, the Realm Titan, answered, "Chillaxxxx man..let things rude out smoothly. Hey, see those girls over there? They are staring pretty hard. Think they wanna have fun with us?"
"Such a lewd dog. I am a man of war and justice!"
"Hehe. I can't help that I'm a ladies man. Four arms on me, more women I can put my arms around."
Kamui yelled out to Ranbu, "Just let us scramble for a few seconds, it'll be quick!"
Ranbu answered, "And if Host Marshy gets word of this and tries to come up here with her Excalibur? You do know she's a hybrid Titan too..she's on par with us."
"I'm not gonna kill the boy! Just gonna see how fast it takes for me to break him with a small percentage of my power!"
"...After 30 seconds are up, you will stop fighting."
"Yeah, yeah, we got it!"
Kamui turned around to Duri, and he was immediately met with a fist. Duri bashed Kamui in the face, sending him flying backwards and destroying the sound barrier.
The crowd of Titans gasped, and Kamui hit the platform hard.
Some of them commenter:
"He made Kamui fly back that far?!"
"What a punch!"
"Bet Kamui is mad now!"
Duri was dashing towards him again, leaving Kamui to think, 'His raw strength is no joke, and his speed is decent. He still has a long way to go. Tch. Kids.'
Kamui stood up, and punched the air in front of him. The air cut Duri across the chest, and Duri flew back. Before he could hit the wave wall, Kamui had transformed into a giant red and yellow panther, and he used his tail to bash Duri all over the place.
In less than 5 seconds, Duri was smacked around with Kamui's panther tail, with Duri flying to one place, and Kamui meeting him there to hit him.
Duri thinks, 'Dammit! I can barely keep up with him! Should I take my headband off again? No..last time I took it off..yeah I was in my Titan form..but I couldn't control it after the fight was over. I almost killed everyone. Kamui's tail is striking me in different patterns..his movements with it are becoming predictable. Why is this bastard fighting with his tail?'
Kamui kept striking Duri with his tail, and Duri began to dodge it earnestly.
Kamui and Duri landed on the ground, and Kamui's tail continued to press Duri. Duri strafed left and right to avoid it.
Until Kamui wrapped his tail around Duri's body and started squeezing him.
Kamui said, "Haaaahaaa! How's this feel?! You're not showing that you're the Angel Titan!"
Duri gritted his teeth at the pain, and then said, "..Oh yeah?"
Duri grabbed Kamui's tail, and he began to merge with it.
Kamui immediately changed forms so Duri wouldn't merge with it, and Duri smirked.
Duri dashed up to Kamui, stuck his hand out, and black shadow flames formed in his arm.
Duri punched Kamui in the face, sending him backwards.
Duri looked at his hands, saying, "Shadow fire? How'd I get that?"
Kamui had eagle wings now, and giant gorilla hands, he whacked Duri up the stomach, then grabbed his head and threw him into the air.
Duri was flipping upwards, and Kamui was flying towards him.
Kamui grinned, "It's time to wrap this up, heh?!"
Kamui went to strike Duri again, but Duri's body and face turned into a full dark shadow, with his eyes glowing white, and his hair in a shadow from which was moving upward like it was in the wind.
Kamui said, "What?!"
Duri grabbed Kamui's face, and said, "I don't know what this form is..but I look like the people from the Shadow realm. Meaning..I guess this is a shadow form. I'll call this one..Shadow form one! Hahahahaha!"
"We soooo do not care!"
Kamui made his arm into a panthers arm, and he hit Duri in chest. Duri spit out blood, flying backwards.
Kamui was running at Duri in a cat like fashion, with his teeth getting sharp and drool dripping from his teeth.
Kamui attacked a few times with a few wide swings, Duri was hit by three of them, but then Duri dodged the last 5 hits, and then Duri punched Kamui in the face. A large shadow blast came out from Duri's shadow arm, and it knocked Kamui back a few feet.
Duri pressed forward again, and he was throwing black shadow fire balls at Kamui.
Kamui dodged them, then turned around, kneeled down, and crashed across the ground at breakneck speed.
Duri thought, 'Damn he's fast! Faster than before-!'
Kamui was pounding on Duri, smacking him around like a ragdoll.
Duri slid back, and he stretched his arm out to the right. A black shadow staff in black flames formed in his hand, and he spun it around his back, and pointed it at Kamui.
Duri said, "I don't know how the HELL I did that!"
Kamui answered, "Nice tricks."
Kamui sped up to Duri, and attacked with his panther paw hands.
Duri was deflecting Kamui's attacks with his staff, moving swiftly around the platform.
Duri asked while I'm action, "Yo! Um, do all these Titans here have titles or..?"
"Titles?!"
"Yeah, like, I'm apparently the Angel Titan, and you're the Beast Titan…does everyone have a title or is everyone just called Titans?!"
Duri blocked more of Kamui's heavy blows with his staff, and Kamui replied, "Duh! The stronger Titans have a title, and their titles have a history behind them. The regular Titans are just called Titans."
Kamui kicked Duri in the face, making Duri do a backflip a few feet away.
Duri threw his staff at Kamui, and Kamui leaned to the right to dodge it. But then, Duri and the staff switched places in a teleporting way, Duri formed another staff, pulled it back, and hit Kamui in the side of the face, smacking him away.
Kamui thinks, 'He switched places with his staff, formed another one, then struck me?'
The Titans above said:
"Booom! That's how you hit, Duri!"
"Nice shot!"
Ranbu the Time Titan, thinks, 'It seems..that Duri has gotten stronger due to him using his Titan powers and being in that form a while ago. He just needs to learn how to control his own form..'
Duri stuck his staff out, a bunch of shadow animals jumped out and went towards Kamui.
Kamui stuck his hand out, and an eagle beak stuck out. The beak screeched like an eagle, and the sound waves of the screech started to dissolve all of Duri's shadows, it was even dissolving the shadows on Duri.
Duri thinks, 'He's dissolving my shadows? What the fuck is going on right now? Should I take off the headband? No..that's too risky. But..I'm pretty sure these guys will help me even if I go berserk.'
Duri put his hand on his headband, and he took it off. The crowd gasped, and Duri was in his Titan form.
Above, Suuyin exclaimed, "Ooo, that's his Titan form! So cool!"
Ark added, "That is something."
Ranbu said, "Hoh?"
Kamui saw Duri's Titan form, saying, "Haha! Now we're getting somewhere! I suppose I should go all out too!"
Duri and Kamui blazed towards each other, but as soon as they got close enough, Duri and Kamui froze in place.
They both couldn't move at all, but they could only move their faces.
Duri said, "Oi! Why can't I move?! Shadows cannot be paralyzed! Who's doing this?!"
Kamui sighed, "It's that man Ranbu."
Ranbu appeared between the two of them, he looked at Duri, and Duri's Titan form was going away.
Duri was turning back to his normal self, and he asked Ranbu, "How the hell are you able to freeze me? And did you change me back to normal or what?!"
"I am the Time Titan, Ranbu. I am not paralyzing you. I stopped the time within your muscles, going back to when you both were sleeping last night. Meaning, I brought the time from last night when your muscles were stationary, to now."
"Damn you're good. And what about my Titan form…thing?"
"I reversed your appearance when you just arrived here when you weren't in your Titan form. I brought that to the future, which is now."
"Damn you. Can you let me go?"
"Of course."
Duri and Kamui dropped to the floor, and Suuyin, Ark, and Gear were down there with them.
Duri looked up at all of them, even all of the Titans in attendance.
Ranbu said, "You are apart of us. We called you here so we could meet you in person. Later on, I will answer any question you have about us, and current situation going on right now."
Duri stood up, "Yeah, okay, whatever. I do have a ton of questions. But I need to go back to school. Can you maybe like, use your little time power to stop time on earth so I won't be late?"
"I cannot interfere with the time of earth. If I did so, it would guaruntee the cost of my life. I have limits too. I will explain more later."
Ark said to Duri, "Mmm, you don't have a girlfriend, do you Duri?"
"Um, n-no."
"I can give you relationship advice. Since you're apart of us now. I'm the Realm Titan by the way. Name's Ark. Famous ladies man and Realm creator.'
Gear interrupted, "Moving on. I am the War Titan, Gear. I'm the one who will destroy you if you step out of line, Angel Titan. Don't mess up! I'm all about war, and all about pastries. Justice will always be served with battle. That is the only answer."
Duri replied, "Calm your ass down sir, thank you."
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?!"
"Damn…chill."
Suuyin walked up to Duri and started shaking his hand fast, smiling, "Hi! I'm the Love Titan, Suuyin!' Kedarah has told me so much about you! I hope we can fight side by side one day! That'll be sooo exciting, right?"
"You're a little jumpy aren't you?"
"Haha, yes!"
Duri thought, 'So there's a Beast Titan, a Love Titan, a Time Titan, a Realm Titan, and a War Titan. And I'm..the Angel Titan. Perfect. New acquaintances. This shit should be fun. Perhaps they are participating in the hunt for Zabel.'
Duri nodded to everyone, "It's an um…pleasure to meet you random people who kidnapped me early in the morning."
Ranbu replied, "Not kidnapping. We just borrowed you."
"That's kinda kidnapping."
"Time for school, kid. We'll talk soon."
Ranbu tapped Duri's head with his finger, and Duri was back in his room.
He had his headband on now.
Duri was standing near his bed, and he looked left and right.
He looked at his school outfit on the chair beside his bed, and he saw notes from Marshy and Seven.
Duri immediately began to put his outfit on, and he stuffed the notes in his pocket, deciding to read them later.
Duri grabbed his black school bag, and ran out of the house. He was running down the streets, running as fast as he could.
His feet making the ground vibrate, and civilians on the sidewalk seeing him.
"Was that Duri?"
"The birthmark shows that it's him."
"He's finally awake!"
"He's a hero along with those other classmates and Hosts. I'm glad he's okay."
Duri made shadows form on his legs, which boosted his speed by a ton, blasting through a field, and causing a great wind to blast some trees to the ground around him.
Duri had a small line of blood dripping from his head, and he thought, 'This blood..is from the fight with Kamui. Damn he was strong. Going in an all out fight with him…could be deadly. I'm not used to my Titan form at all either. Once I enhance my skills more, I could be a real threat. And that's what I need to kill Zabel.'
Duri was in another neighborhood, jumping from chimney top to chimney top.
'Officially the first day of actual school and not HOMEROOM. After what happened, I'm gonna get alot of attention. SCHOOL. There's gonna be homework on top of homework on top of tests and quizzes. It won't be that bad, right? The hell am I saying? It might be…'
[Duri's High School]
[Sensei Kei's classroom]
Seven, Kazuma, Nine, Tek, Ren-Ren, Jiyu, Espen, Shiryu, Jiyu, and 15 more students were sitting at the desks as Sensei Kei did roll call.
Kei had dark blue wavy hair, black shades, and a dark blue goatee.
Kei said, "Okay, um..is Tek here? Tek?"
Tek raised his hand slightly without saying a word, and he went back to reading his book.
Kei continued, "Now..let's see where..Duri? Is Duri here?"
No one answered, and some looked around the classroom.
"Duri's in this class?"
"This school year has gotten way more interesting now!"
"But..he must be stil unconscious."
Kei said, "Welp. Okay. Duri isn't here. Next is uh.."
The classroom door blasted open, flying forward and went over Kei's head, smashing to pieces on the wall, and everyone turned their attention to it.
Seven grinned, but then she put it away instantly.
Duri was standing at the doorway, and he said, "Finally.."
