Bab 2: Authors Questions

so I am contemplating on what to do next I have a few ideas for the story but there's this problem that I can't decide on so give me some advice the problem is I can either make it the story someone similar to Journey towards greatness where the trainer Julian how he gets a new team he trains for every new league which I plan on doing but because he does that his order once become so powerful that they can fight gods and other legendary Pokemon easily so I can either go that way and make it to the older generation becomes super op or I can kind of do like what Ash does where he keeps his Pikachu from the very moment he got it and even though he goes and joins new leagues and trains new Pokemon he always keeps his Pikachu but that would also mean all the older Generations would not be very strong for future battles or hardships they would still be strong and I would still make them pretty op but it won't be like Julian's op where he can battle gods and still win mine would be like I can face champion level Pokemon pretty easily and instead of Pikachu it would obviously be Charizard that would continue going on to every new league kind of like how Ash's Pikachu did I want you to keep in mind this is just advice and suggestions I will be making the final choice but I hope to hear some good suggestions that I might take
