The blazing midday sun pierced through the canopy of dense leaves, and even the shadows seemed to curl up under the oppressive heat. The sunlight hit Charmander's body, its fiery tail flaring up as if doused in gasoline.

Under clear skies, special attack increases, albeit at the cost of HP.
With the Purify trait in effect, the downside of Solar Power was entirely negated.
"Charmander, it's your time—Fire Rain!" Hikaru's voice was steady and brimming with confidence, undeterred by the swarm of six Spearow.
"Char!"
Feeling a surge of unparalleled power coursing through its body, Charmander roared. It could sense the heat of the sun fueling its strength.
In a split second, it spat out a fireball the size of a basketball. The fireball ascended into the air and then burst, scattering into countless embers resembling fiery raindrops.
This wasn't about precision; it was raw firepower. The embers fell in a fiery cascade, engulfing the startled Spearow in an inferno.
The fiery rain spread across a radius of ten meters, rendering any escape futile. The panicked cries of the Spearow were cut short as one by one, their bodies dissolved into light and disappeared.
Six Spearow, gone in an instant.
With that single move, Hikaru's score skyrocketed by nearly 1,400 points, propelling him straight to first place on the leaderboard. The gap between him and the second-ranked student was a solid 500 points.
"Great job, Charmander!" Hikaru beamed as he celebrated with his partner.
The buffs working in tandem—Food Supply Station and Solar Power—made the Ember move as devastating as a full-scale Flamethrower.
"Let's keep going!" Hikaru declared, his eyes burning with ambition. "We're taking the top spot and holding it!"
Charmander, equally fired up, clenched its claws and let out an enthusiastic roar.

Monitoring Room – Shuimu High School
"...What?"
The teachers in the monitoring room were collectively stunned.
"Did that Charmander just take down six Spearow in one move?"
"And they were all ordinary-tier Spearow too..."
"How is this even possible? Is that really a high school freshman's Charmander?"
The room fell into silence as the replay of the battle played on the screen. The only sounds were the quiet murmurs of disbelief and the hum of the equipment.
Finally, a teacher broke the silence.
"That must be Solar Power, right?"
Another teacher hesitated. "But isn't this power... a bit too much? Solar Power doesn't usually provide such a massive boost."
"It could be the energy cube. Didn't the trainer feed it something top-tier just before the fight?"
The conversation quickly turned to Miss Qin, who was now the center of attention.
"Well, Miss Qin, it seems like your class is filled with prodigies this year!"
"First that Dratini, and now this incredible Charmander. You've really hit the jackpot!"
Miss Qin's lips curled into a smile, her initial disbelief replaced with a deep sense of pride.

Deep within the forested area, another student, Kei Hoshino, leaned against a tree, his Growlithe resting by his side.
Kei gently stroked his Growlithe's fur, his eyes filled with satisfaction.
The Growlithe, with its golden-yellow coat and tiger-like stripes, looked every bit as fierce as its species was known to be.
"Growlithe, we're aiming for the top five this time. We've got to show them what we're made of!" Kei declared confidently.
The Growlithe barked in agreement, its loyalty and determination shining through.
Kei checked the leaderboard on his wrist device.
Leaderboard:
1. Hikaru: 1850 points (Pokémon: Charmander)
2. Kenta Yoshida: 1200 points (Pokémon: Vulpix)
3. Riku Hayashi: 1050 points (Pokémon: Eevee)
...
4. Kei Hoshino: 820 points (Pokémon: Growlithe).
"Who's Hikaru?" Kei muttered, frowning. "Never heard of him before. Is he a senior or something?"
The massive gap in points gnawed at Kei's pride. A first-year student dominating the leaderboard was practically unheard of.
As if to fuel his competitive spirit, Kei noticed his rank had just dropped to ninth place.
8. Takeshi Tanaka: 840 points (Pokémon: Poochyena).
Kei's grip on Growlithe's Poké Ball tightened.
"We need to move, Growlithe. If we want to stay in the game, we can't afford to rest."
Growlithe whined softly, still tired from its last battle. Its newly learned Flamethrower required significant energy, and its body felt heavy.
But Kei didn't notice.
"We're not stopping now. Come on, let's show them what we're made of!" Kei commanded, already walking forward.
With a determined bark, Growlithe followed, pushing through its exhaustion.
