"So… what's up?"
Snorting, Sabrina leaned back in her executive chair, matching her office's pink theme. There was way too much pink.
"You can stop pretending; I know that dampener isn't doing anything."
She spoke with a solemn, matter-of-fact tone. I will not lie; it was hot.
"Sure," I shrug before reaching with both hands and ripping the collar off. Yeah, I work out.
Tossing the collar behind me, it clatters into the wall as I recline in my surprisingly comfy pink chair. Crossing my legs and throwing a casual arm over the back, I leaned into a good angle and relaxed.
"So, what do you want, Sabrina?"
The lack of the honorific, "Leader," in front of her name caused her left eye to twitch slightly, and I let a faint smirk slide across my face. This was going to be fun.
"It's Leader Sabrina, Mr. Soto."
Sighing, she rubbed her hand on her forehead before straightening up once more.
"I have heard tales of your psychic ability, and based on your state when you came in, you must be almost as powerful as me," she huffs.
My smirk grows wider at her words. She couldn't see it because she was weaker than me, but I could tell precisely how much psionic energy she had, which was well below mine. She probably knows subconsciously why she hasn't minced me already, but her logical mind wasn't computing it. After all, she had grown up at the top of the food chain.
"Tell me, Sabrina, do you want me here, the league, or... Team Rocket," I asked while inspecting my nails.
My words caused an immediate reaction as her energy flared and hurtled straight at me. With a casual wave, I dispersed her power and countered by forcing her to sit back in her chair. She struggled fiercely against my restraint.
"Now, that wasn't very nice, was it Sabrina?"
The only response I got was a growl. While she struggled, I stood and made my way around the office. There were some pictures of her parents when she was little, probably from when they were still a happy family.
I picked up a portrait that looked like it was taken in the backyard of a mansion, with a sand garden in the background. A young Sabrina smiled while her mother and father kneeled beside her, smiling joyfully in their eyes. I got lost in memories of my parents, and I plunged into those better times.
After an unknown time, I returned to my senses and, sighing, set the photo back down. Turning back to look at the desk, I can see Sabrina glaring at me in fury but not struggling anymore.
"Well, now that you're done throwing a temper tantrum and seeing who is the strongest here, answer my question," I say calmly.
Gritting her teeth in frustration, she practically spits out the answer. "Team Rocket."
"Oh… and what does Giovanni want with little old me," I casually ask while picking up objects on her desk and inspecting them.
Sabrina's eyes widened in shock, and she stuttered, clearly flustered. "H-how do you know that?"
The worry in her eyes would have been adorable if I didn't know how much of a crazy person she was.
Thats it for now.
