Bab 327: Chapter 327

Three days had passed since Dak arrived at Yggdrasil City.

During that time, he wandered the city, pondering ways to imbue it with stories and activities that could become legendary, passed down for a thousand years.

Meanwhile, Whitebeard and his group had departed. After all, the second semester at the Pokémon Academy had begun, and Sasuke needed to attend as a student.

Initially, Dak intended to summon Dialga to rejuvenate Madara and his companions, but seeing Madara's Rinnegan changed his mind.

Dialga's time-reversal ability would undo all changes to their bodies, both good and bad.

Madara, with Hashirama Cells and Zetsu Cells, had even gained access to true Mokuton—the Wood Style of Hashirama, not the construction-grade version used by Yamato.

Reversing time would extend his lifespan but at the cost of losing the Rinnegan and his enhancements.

Since time reversal wasn't an option, Dak decided to prolong their lives by infusing vitality instead.

Coincidentally, he believed Yggdrasil City needed awe-inspiring legends to elevate its status.

Standing beneath the World Tree, Dak appeared lost in thought.

"Master…"

Esdeath stood beside him, holding a snow-white egg in her arms.

There was much about Dak that she didn't understand, one of which was his frequent habit of standing still, staring blankly ahead.

"What's wrong?"

Though Dak responded, his expression remained vacant.

This only deepened Esdeath's confusion. How could someone seemingly lost in thought still respond so clearly?

"What are you doing?"

"I'm matchmaking for the Braviary clan."

'If I don't help them find mates soon, they might turn… eccentric.'

Dak sifted through potential Mandibuzz clans in the Pokémon Mall, scrutinizing the descriptions.

Each Pokémon clan had behavioral summaries, which Dak used to make his choice.

Most Mandibuzz clans came with descriptors like "aggressive."

Mandibuzz were known to be rough-tempered, favoring Cubone as prey, though they treated their mates and offspring with care.

Even so, Dak needed a calmer clan. These Mandibuzz weren't just any; they were to serve as co-guardians of the World Tree alongside the Braviary clan.

After careful selection, he found a unique clan.

"'Orderly.'"

The descriptor suggested strong leadership within the clan.

Dak speculated that a queen Mandibuzz with great authority was likely managing them.

Having made his choice, Dak swiftly redeemed the clan.

Mandibuzz Clan

Members: 67 (41 Mandibuzz, 26 Vullaby)

Leader: Mandibuzz (Lv. 58)

"A near-Elite-level Mandibuzz. No wonder she can command such a fiery clan."

Dak was pleased overall, though the clan's numbers paled compared to the Braviary, whose population had grown to over a hundred.

"Caw!"

Sixty Pokémon suddenly appeared around them, leaving Esdeath dumbfounded.

"…Huh?"

She blinked, trying to process how so many creatures had materialized out of nowhere. Had she been the one daydreaming, not her master?

"This tree is your new home. Are you satisfied?"

Dak addressed the proud-looking Mandibuzz, immediately identifying her as the leader.

The Mandibuzz glanced up at the massive tree, her eyes widening in astonishment.

Such a robust tree was a dream come true—a perfect "dream tree" for her kind.

With its enormous canopy, the World Tree resembled an entire forest, ideal for nesting birds. And with so many strong and heroic Braviary nearby, the appeal only grew.

It was a textbook case of attraction through sheer magnificence.

"It seems your clan approves," Dak said, noting how the Mandibuzz's gaze lingered on the Braviary.

Mandibuzz, known for their love of strength and valor, found the Braviary irresistible.

"Caw."

The Mandibuzz nodded, her demeanor softening. She seemed to grasp the situation quickly.

"To claim this luxurious home and these handsome males, you must protect this tree."

"Caw!"

Another nod, this time with eagerness.

"Then go ahead—start building your family."

Dak chuckled and waved them off.

Their fondness for strength and courage was an advantage; he wouldn't have to worry about the clans dwindling in numbers. Pokémon reproduction didn't come with "contraception," after all.

"Master…"

Esdeath finally snapped out of her stupor.

"Hmm?"

"What kind of Pokémon will I have?"

Esdeath hadn't been particularly interested in Pokémon before.

But learning that Dak's strength lay not just in himself but in his Pokémon companions had inspired her to become a Trainer.

Watching the Mandibuzz's behavior now solidified her understanding that Pokémon were more than just magical beasts—they were highly intelligent beings with personalities.

"An Alolan Vulpix. Once we're back, study the Pokédex. As my disciple, you're expected to know all about Pokémon."

Dak held Esdeath to high standards, intending to raise her to surpass even Sinnoh's Champion Cynthia.

"Understood."

Esdeath caressed the egg in her arms. Its cool surface felt comforting, and she couldn't help but anticipate the life growing inside.

"Next…"

Dak reopened the Pokémon Mall.

While the Braviary and Mandibuzz clans could handle most threats, they were visible guardians.

He needed an iconic Pokémon capable of remaining hidden, much like the Primeval Shrine's legendaries in Alliance City.

"The City of the World Tree, the City of Aura…"

He recalled the original Pokémon world's equivalent city and tree.

When planning Yggdrasil City, Dak had already envisioned a "legend."

Much like in the Pokémon world, it began with:

Mew: 1 million Pokémon Coins

"Just one Mew isn't enough."

Having watched Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Dak knew the lone Mew's plight.

As a Pokémon born alongside the World Tree, it was confined to the tree, bound by its origins. Over millions of years, it lived in isolation, without companions or friends.

Dak wouldn't let this Mew suffer the same fate.

He would find it a lifelong companion.

A friend to stay with it forever, even long after Dak was gone.

Celebi: 1 million Pokémon Coins

"Hehe, this is quite the pairing."

Mew, possessing high intelligence and the genetic information of all Pokémon, was considered by some scholars to be their ancestor.

Celebi, the "Forest God," could traverse time and heal life, symbolizing harmony and renewal.

Yggdrasil City, with its serene atmosphere and 98% greenery coverage, was the perfect habitat for Celebi.

Individually, these Pokémon were enough to shake the Pokémon world to its core.

Having them live together in the same town was a truly audacious act.

"Let the legends of this town begin with you two."

With a satisfied smile, Dak finalized the purchase.

Bab 328: Chapter 328

"Mew~"

"Bi~"

A pink and a green figure appeared around Dak.

Mew curiously tilted its head, floating left and right, its vibrant eyes darting around the colorful world. If Dak hadn't said anything, it would have immediately dashed out to explore.

Meanwhile, Celebi clung to Dak's head, hiding most of its tiny body behind him. Its onion-shaped head peeked out cautiously, observing the world with timid curiosity.

Though freshly created by the system, these newborn Pokémon exhibited distinct personalities.

Mew, like a playful kitten, was endlessly curious and impulsive, eager to explore anything that caught its interest.

Celebi, on the other hand, was cautious, preferring to ensure its safety before engaging with its surroundings.

"Mew!"

Mew noticed Celebi hiding behind Dak and its eyes lit up with delight.

Though the system had instantly created them, Mew and Celebi perceived their existence as if they had been nurtured from eggs by Dak himself.

Yet, they felt no innate familiarity toward each other, having never actually shared time together.

"Mew, this is Celebi, your sibling. You were born together," Dak said, scratching Mew under its chin.

Mew's soft pink fur was smooth and pleasant to the touch, while Celebi's cool green skin felt silky and delicate.

These legendary Pokémon lacked defined genders, embodying traits of both or neither as the situation demanded.

"Bi."

Celebi shrank back slightly, hesitant to meet Mew.

But Mew didn't care about boundaries, flying forward to embrace Celebi and giving it an affectionate nuzzle. Celebi froze, utterly bewildered by the sudden affection.

The interaction was like watching a fiery extrovert interact with a reserved introvert—passion meeting reticence.

"From now on, you'll live together near that tree," Dak said, pointing toward the towering World Tree. "Protect it well, but feel free to explore the world too."

Dak had no intention of confining them to the tree like their counterparts in other worlds.

Unlike the mythical World Tree in the Pokémon world—an energy-laden mineral that nourished its world—this World Tree primarily enhanced Yggdrasil City's environment and air quality. Its future evolution, if any, remained a mystery.

"Mew."

Mew glanced at the World Tree, then nodded nonchalantly. It didn't seem to care much about where it lived.

"Bi~"

Celebi, though visibly uncomfortable with Mew's clinging, didn't resist.

"Oh, Celebi, I actually need a favor from you," Dak said, suddenly recalling something.

Carrying the two small Pokémon, he set off to find Madara and his group.

At this time, Esdeath still didn't fully grasp the nature of Pokémon, let alone the significance of Mew and Celebi.

Only much later, when she learned of their legendary status and found it nearly impossible to encounter them again, would she regret not fostering a closer bond in her youth.

Like Dak himself, these legendary Pokémon appeared to the public sparingly.

Back during Dak's adventuring days, Pokémon like Darkrai and Sceptile had accompanied him prominently, solidifying their reputations.

But now, with Dak quietly working behind the scenes, these "Primordial Gods" had faded from the public eye.

In time, as Dak retired and a new Alliance leader took his place, these legendary Pokémon would fully transition into "legends."

When Madara and the others saw Mew and Celebi, they were momentarily stunned.

Dak explained that the small onion-headed Pokémon could extend their lifespans and rejuvenate their vitality.

"These two Pokémon, are they…"

Izuna studied the pair closely, finding no trace of the imposing presence typical of the gods within the Primal Shrine.

Even the gentlest-looking Lapras possessed a fearsome backstory and aura.

Yet these two…

"Yes, they're Primordial Gods," Dak confirmed.

In Pokémon Island lore, there were no terms like "legendary Pokémon" or "mythical Pokémon." Instead, such beings were classified as "Primordial Gods"—Pokémon that emerged alongside Creation God Dak, endowed with divine powers.

Only one of each Primordial God existed. While a new Celebi might emerge centuries later in another forest, it wouldn't bear the title of "Primordial God."

"Mew is the Progenitor God, and Celebi is the Forest God," Dak announced.

He had already designated their titles, aligning them with their attributes.

Mew, hailed as the ancestor of all Pokémon in another world, possessed the genetic material of every species and could learn every move. Its ability to transform into Pokémon like Lugia or Groudon further bolstered its claim to this title.

Celebi, often called the Forest God, embodied the vitality and harmony of nature. While it didn't qualify as a "Life God" due to Xerneas' existence, nor a "Time God" due to Dialga's, its role was clear.

"Progenitor God…"

Izuna's eyes lingered on Mew. The title seemed so grand it rivaled Dak's own as the Creation God.

"Celebi, please," Dak said, glancing at the small onion-shaped Pokémon.

Despite being freshly born, Celebi instinctively understood its powers and used them with ease.

"Bi~"

Celebi flitted to Madara, its transparent wings shimmering as it hovered above him. Glowing green particles began to rain down, enveloping Madara in a soft light.

Within moments, Madara's gray hair turned jet-black, the wrinkles on his face faded, and his stature became that of a robust forty-year-old. Even his Rinnegan seemed to shine brighter.

Celebi then repeated the process for Izuna, Hanzo, and the others, restoring them to their prime while simultaneously enhancing their strength.

"Izuna, if you have time, visit Dr. Vegapunk on the outskirts of Alliance City. He should be able to clone a pair of Sharingan for you," Dak said, noticing Izuna's Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

Losing his Mangekyō had significantly diminished Izuna's combat prowess.

"He can do that?"

Izuna was intrigued. He'd thought Vegapunk was solely a Pokémon researcher, but Dak clarified:

Vegapunk's expertise extended far beyond Pokémon, encompassing biology, weaponry, and more. Creating a pair of Sharingan from Izuna's DNA wouldn't be difficult.

"I'll consider it," Izuna replied, already planning a visit.

"Mew, Celebi, you're free to play now. But remember to meet your other siblings when you get the chance," Dak said, dismissing the duo.

As a Trainer, Dak aimed to foster camaraderie among the Primordial Gods, minimizing the likelihood of conflicts.

"Mew~"

Mew eagerly dragged Celebi into the city, the pink and green duo drawing attention wherever they went.

In the following days, rumors of mysterious Pokémon sightings spread across Yggdrasil City.

These rumors attracted many visitors, who unwittingly became the first witnesses to the beginning of a legend.

From their tales, the legend of the World Tree City began to spread far and wide.
