Bab 85: Chapter 11

Staring down the table from where he sat, Vukan wised the earth would just swallow him up. Getting him to be there was one thing he had not thought Lee was capable of doing, but the dubious lady had managed it. Her threats had worked and she had called his blush once again. It was becoming a norm and he prayed he found a way past it. 

The picture of his family, seated around the large rectangular table, dining away and barely even cognizant of his unhappy state plagued his heart. 

"How can they be this comfortable?" he asked himself. "How can they be this happy?"

Henry Adamson smiled from ear to ear while he touched Lee's hand intermittently. His wife wouldn't stop smiling too, while the only other grouch in the room asides Vukan, was his grandfather. The man's face would make for a perfect Halloween mask and Vukan would make enough sales from it to start a business of his own.
