"Let's go dance!" She yells then proceed to drags me without waiting for my answer.

As we reach the dance floor, the song changes into another popular upbeat song that sounds familiar to me.
Kylen looks back and squeals excitedly, "This is my song!"
I laugh, "All songs are your favorites!"
"True that." She winks at me as she sneaks us to the middle of the floor, trying to find an open spot in this snug space.
And without warning, Kylen starts dancing and puts her hands up in the air; consequently, I put my right hand up, following her lead. Beth follows next; with my other hand, she holds up the air.
We dance as a triple, with our hands joined in the air and swaying to the left and to the right. I laugh at these silly moves. We really look like kindergarten kids trying to perform a dance in class.
Simply put, we look ridiculous.
I tell this to the both of them, and they laugh it off.
"Screw it! Just move your ass, babe!" Kylen yells over the music.
I laugh at her crazy antics and start to move my head to the beat, just enjoying the vibe, and for awhile I forgot about the slit at the back.
The song changes to another one, and I feel my eyebrows rise to the sky as I witness Kylen and Beth start grinding each other in front of me. Shock is an understatement.
I never knew Beth could actually move like that! I blame it on too much hanging out with Kylen in the club.
Beth grabs my hand, and I move my hips unconsciously to the beat. I smile at this, feeling my spirit set free. I'm actually dancing like a normal human being now, and I'm having so much fun with them. They really know how to make me forget the plain me.
The song ends only to change into a slower beat when suddenly I feel an arm snake around my waist, followed by a voice I'm familiar with. I turn around spontaneously and come face to face with no one other than Edward.
My eyes pop open at the sudden close contact, and my heart stops beating for a second.
"Hey, gorgeous." He whispers in my ear; his deep voice sends chills to my spine.
My brain chooses to stop functioning at this moment so that I can only answer with a breathy "Hi" like an idiot.
Edward smirks at this, while his green eyes turn darker with desire and deep affection.
"Dance with me." I can feel his warmth and breath from how close our bodies are as he sways us to the left and right with the beat.
"I am." I quirk my eyebrow at his demand.
"You're just standing there with your hands limply on your side." Edward raises one of his perfect eyebrows in return. Smartass.
I blush hard, feeling embarrassed that I just stand in front of him like a retard. Can you blame me? For a girl who has never had a boyfriend before, this small dance feels so intimate for me. He's turning me into a nerveswreck.
The confusing part is, I enjoy the feeling of his hands on my skin. Maybe it's the song, maybe it's the atmosphere, but I don't mind this at all. His warm hands are giving me chills, but at the same time I feel safe around him. How messed up is that?
"You're cute when you blush." He teases me.
I blush again as I glare at him playfully.
"Can you not?"
"What? It's true."
I smack his arm. He needs to stop saying that, or I will turn to a puddle from how embarrassed I feel.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"Stop teasing me." I warn him.
"Then dance with me," he smiles as he looks into my eyes with passion and warmth that slip right through my fragile heart.
He starts swaying left and right, and I feel myself following his moves. My arms seem like they have their own mind as they slide up to his shoulder, hanging lightly like a vine. He tightens his arms around me until I'm pressed against his chest; I can only gasp softly. I can feel his heart thumping wildly in his chest, just like mine.
My Lord. Have mercy on my little heart.
I duck my head and wrap my hands around his neck, trying to hide my red face at the intimate gesture. This is a new territory we walk into; I feel terrified yet excited at the same time.
It's just a slow dance in a club among other people, but I don't know why it feels so much more. I'm trying to think logically, to reign myself from doing something I'd regret later, but my heart is just damn stubborn.
One thing for sure as I feel myself relaxed in his arms is that this, whatever this is, feels good.
As usual, Edward voiced my thoughts out loud.
"This feels good."
"Yes, it is." I whisper my answer softly, afraid to speak out loud.
I tilt my head sideways to see his reaction. There I see his happiness, his wariness, and his yearning. His eyes are always so brimming with compassion that I can feel it without him actually saying a word. His actions truly speak louder to me than anything else.
His eyes then dart to my lips, and I lick my lips in a nervous response. His eyes snap back to my eyes, darkened with longing and desire. He comes closer to me, and I can feel his warm breaths fanning my lips. I can't seem to move as I look back at his beautiful eyes. They hook me in like a siren.
My heart beats faster as I find myself waiting for his next move. I let my eyes wander back to his lips, and without realizing it, I'm expecting it. The kiss. What do his lips taste like this time?
As if on cue, the music ends and people around me start moving to another place, but that's enough to pull me out of my trance.
It's like a bucket of ice water thrown to me as I remember the reality of who we are. His feeling, his family. We're from a different world. He's like a celestial being that comes down to earth shortly to enjoy the mundane life of a mortal. He'll be back in his world sooner or later.
We're too different.
I can't.
I pull back and look elsewhere, anywhere but him. I feel like an as**ole for doing this to him, but I don't think my heart's ready for this. So I need another getaway. I'm such a coward.
"I... I need the restroom." I stutter like a retard, but I have no energy to mind that. I don't dare to look into his eyes, afraid that I'll find something I'm dreaded for.
I dart my eyes around trying to locate where Kylen and Beth are. I walk to them fast, without waiting to hear his next words. Beth comes right away, with Kylen following close behind.
Apparently I'm not fast enough as I hear him say those dreadful words to me.
"I'll wait for you, Jean. Always."
Oh Edward, what do I do to deserve someone like you?

As it turns out, I have to split chapter 6 into 3 parts because it's just too long, and I don't want to make it feel like I drag it out for long. I hope you'd understand. ;))
