Bab 886: New Year's Gift

"Are you kidding me?" Ye Muyu asked uncertainly.

Chu Heng grabbed her hand and rubbed it gently. There was an ambiguous smile on his face. When Ye Muyu's heart was in her throat, he let her go. He smiled lightly. "I'm just joking."

Even though he really wanted to leave his son alone, he still had to take care of Ah Yu's feelings.

By the time it was a quarter past midnight, the two children had already fallen asleep and were carried back to the room by the servant girls to sleep.

Chu Heng went to the front yard and lit the firecrackers. With the crackling sounds, the new year arrived. With the sound of firecrackers in the village, it was a new year.

"Come over and warm yourself up." Ye Muyu reached out to hold his hand but felt that his hand was as cold as iron.

Chu Heng did not go over. He warmed his hands by the fire before walking over and pulling her into his arms. "Are you sleepy?"
