Just a promise couldn't bind this monster as he could ignore the promise and he could still explore the potential of his bloodline, unlike the Sky Fairy Ancestor who understood the Dao and thus had to always keep the promises she had made with others.

Asked to become a slave, the monster's expression instantly soured, clearly he didn't accept it.
