He looked around and he noticed he was in the middle of a sort of spherical pit and all around him, thousands of gigantic tunnels could be seen.

Within the pit and beside him, he could see a great amount of rotting corpses. Some from the youths who'd entered the trial with him and some from beasts native to this realm.

After further analysis, he noticed some of these corpses were extremely old, perhaps dating to even before this generation's trial opening.

Amon had a thought and suddenly, the faint outline of a crown flashed atop his head. He waved a hand and from the pile of corpses he stood on, bundles of milky white energy appeared, falling onto his palm.

'The elevation of my lineage makes it a billion times easier to use while making the abilities a thousand times more powerful…fascinating stuff. My gift truly is a formidable one.'

He quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind.
