"What—what's happening?" I managed to whisper in my breathless voice.

Martin looked at me with a wicked smile. I looked away but he made me look at him with his hand, which I tried to shrug away, but couldn't as my hands and legs were all tied.

"You should have figured it out when you started receiving threats. You're stupid to think you could trust Max."

"Why are you doing this again?" I mustered up the courage and asked, keeping my eyes on his movements.

"Oh no, I am not doing anything again," He said as he took a seat in front of me and leaned toward me. "I'll let you in on a secret. This is not for torture."

"Then what do you want?" My anger started piling up with each passing second.

"C'mon, tell me. What do you see in Max?"

"What do you mean?"

"He is just a stupid and a coward. You could find a much better man."

"Yeah? And that is your concern why?"
