Bab 130: Emotional Manipulation

BANG!!

That loud sound split the frigid atmosphere in the whole drawing room, echoing through the hallway, creating a severe moment of suspense. A thin smoke curled in the air from the muzzle of the gun in my grip, an empty cartridge rolling on the floor in between my bare feet and a pair of black oxford shoes that belonged to Marvel as he was already standing beside me, clasping my wrists with his hands.

During the peaking chaos, he silently managed to dash from his seat and divert the direction of the shooting to the floor as I pulled the trigger, and so the bullet ended up nesting there, not inside someone's head in the room.

Li Jie, Gratia, and Emmanuel stopped in their tracks and held their breath a second after the blast, almost couldn't believe the abrupt shift of the situation I created.
