My body fell to the ground, the warmth of life stolen away by death's cold embrace. Synced with my impact to the grass coated ground was the lament of Xavier, who promptly sprinted to Nicole, ignoring the fatigue in his swaying legs set in from the ongoing fiasco.

Nicole has someone who would run to her when get shot.

I have no one.

Well that is what i get for being the person I am.

Seconds passed, as I lay there silently. 

These seconds became minutes.

Long torturing minutes. 

I waited and I waited for it to embrace me.

I could hear their retreating footsteps. 

I could hear it all, as I lay in the dirt, while the rain pitied my thirsty throat and showered itself on me. 

I waited and I waited for death to come to me. 

But it didn't. 

I desperately wanted it to take me away.
