I looked at the familiar person, someone I nearly forgot that I hated so much more than anyone else. If it wasn’t for him, would I have even suspected anything in the first place?

If it wasn’t for his provocation and taunting, would I have made that call that day?

If he hadn’t deliberately shown up in front of me as if he wanted to be seen, would I have taken notice of him?

That man who looked exactly like my mother. I hated him so much. And seeing him attending my mother’s funeral, I suddenly had an inkling that he was somehow related to her.

Unfortunately, it was too late for me to ask my mother. She had been buried and all I could do now was to pray earnestly for her soul to be accepted in heaven. After all, even if I was a fool, I knew pretty well that she wouldn’t be going there at all.

With all the wonderful deeds she had been doing, who knows how much she must have offended God in doing so?
