Time rewound to the early morning when the slumbering girl was awakened by the alarm clock on her bedside, its ring recorded with the unpleasant cawing of a Devil's Crow, intolerable to anyone with difficulty rising.

Thus, roused by the noise to the point of no return, the girl reluctantly crawled out of bed and then raised her hand to switch off the alarm clock.

Parting the curtains by the bed, the dawn's soft light shot into the room, warm on the girl's body, making her comfortably squint her eyes and smile.

From within her radiant gold locks, even brighter than the morning sun, peeked out two fuzzy fox ears, while behind her nine equally fuzzy tails fanned out like a peacock's plume, all basking in the warm morning sun.
