Bab 128: Unfortunate Circumstances

Crouched atop the branch of a gigantic Kauri tree, a young man with disheveled dark brown hair gazed wearingly into the unremitting darkness.

Surrounding him, a dense rainforest, with incredibly tall trees and lush vegetation, echoed with the incessant drip-drop of rainwater sprinkled down from the canopy.

The rainforest concealed an incredibly bio-diverse ecosystem, one that supported a myriad of specialized species adapted to the unique conditions.

Needless to say, it was some of these 'adapted species' that had ever so cruelly ushered Team Rozar to the brink of near-total eradication.

"Get ready, it's coming!" Dorian alerted, adjusting his posture till he resembled that of a prowling jaguar about to pounce.

His targeted audience was a small party of four… three girls and one boy, bunched together, backs to backs, in a tight circular formation on the forest floor below.
