Bab 194: Only a Friend

Wang Jingyuan was stunned into silence. She blinked once, twice, as she processed Lu Shuangyun's question, and then the full implication hit her. Her body moved before her brain caught up; she all but jumped out from her seat and fell to her knees in front of the noble consort. 

The movement was so sudden it made Lu Shuangyun jump. Whatever reaction she was expecting from Wang Jingyuan, it certainly wasn't this. "What are you doing?"

"Noble Consort, Moxian and I are just friends, close friends, nothing else." The words came out in a rush. "I have never once thought about overstepping the boundary, nor do I ever plan on doing so. I am just a commoner, and I am very aware of the fact that the Moxian and I are as different as the earth and sky. I am not good enough for him, and therefore I do not dare to have such unrealistic hopes. In addition, I have no desire to be a princess; I am a martial artist, and I wish to live my life in the sector with my sect."
