Bab 10: Chapter 10 Invite Nami
"Buggy Pirates are not just some low-level pirates, so she needs to make a big score to fill up!"
"Oh?"
Buggy's expression fluctuated as he looked at the recovered sea chart and treasure. No one could tell what he was thinking. Even Nami felt a bit nervous.
"You stole my treasure and sea chart and returned them. Do you think I'll forgive you just like that?"
"Brothers, what do you think I should do?"
Buggy grinned wickedly, his painted face looking even more sinister.
At this point, he kept everyone in suspense.
"Of course, kill her!"
"Right, kill her! That damned thief!"
"Dare to steal from Captain Buggy? She deserves to die!"
The pirates laughed maniacally.
"..."
Nami's face changed drastically, cold sweat dripping down her face. As she felt the situation worsening and reached for the stick at her waist, Buggy suddenly burst into laughter.
"Of course, I'll accept you! It's rare for you to turn from darkness to light. Hahaha, isn't it magnificent, my men?"
Buggy laughed maniacally.
"Hahaha, as expected of Captain Buggy, it's splendid!"
"Yes, yes, nothing more magnificent than this!"
"Long live Captain Buggy! Captain Buggy is mighty!"
Everyone cheered.
"Let's welcome my new companion, Nami. Let's celebrate, everyone!"
Buggy laughed heartily.
"Phew..."
Seeing this, Nami secretly breathed a sigh of relief, her hand relaxing from the stick at her waist. At least she had managed to deceive them for now!
"Hey, where's the food?"
Luffy, looking puzzled, asked Nami.
At this point, he clearly had no awareness of being a prisoner and was still looking for food.
"..."
Nami was speechless, while the Buggy Pirates' crew locked Luffy in a cage and began to celebrate wildly!
"Is it over there?"
At this moment, Moonlight and Zoro, following the three guides, walked through the town. Suddenly, cheers were heard from a distance.
Zoro, with sharp eyes, pointed to the far-off location and asked.
"Yes, that's where the Buggy Pirates are. It seems Captain Buggy is celebrating again!"
"Our Buggy Pirates party every day. To be honest, Captain Buggy is quite good to us!"
"Yes, yes!"
The three nodded in agreement.
"Then lead the way!"
Zoro commanded.
The three, not daring to be careless in front of the famous pirate hunter, led them forward.
On the other side of the town, several villagers, armed and resolute, descended from the mountain. They were ready to fight to the death against the Buggy Pirates!
Hearing the cheers, their faces turned grim.
"Damn pirates, wasting our food!"
"Damn robbers!"
"Perfect, wait until they're drunk and then kill them!"
They shouted angrily!
On the Buggy Pirates' ship, everyone was celebrating. In the end, Buggy decided to test the power of the Buggy Bomb in front of Nami. As the town was blown away, Nami's face darkened.
She felt uneasy, realizing she had underestimated these people.
"How do you like it, Nami? The power of this special Buggy Bomb is pretty good, right?"
Buggy looked at Nami and asked with a smile.
"It's quite impressive. The town was blown away!"
Nami forced a smile.
"Really? I'm glad you're satisfied. Let's have a magnificent ending to this party."
Buggy laughed and ordered his men to bring Luffy up. He then aimed the Buggy Bomb and pointed.
"Me?"
Nami's expression changed.
"Yes, Nami. This useless person is your captain, but he can't give you what you want. Shouldn't he be killed?"
"Killing him would mean you're one of us, officially joining us. Right, little thief Nami?"
Buggy grinned, his eyes gleaming.
Despite his reckless attitude, Buggy was extremely shrewd and would not easily be deceived.
"..."
Nami's face turned pale. She hadn't expected the other side to be so perceptive and to have already investigated her background!
"When did they find out?"
Nami's heart sank as she realized she had underestimated these pirates!
"Nami, Nami!"
"Little thief, little thief!"
"Kill him, kill him!"
As soon as Buggy finished speaking, everyone cheered.
A few pirates pushed Nami in front of the cannon, which was already loaded with the Buggy Bomb. Once the fuse was lit, it would fire!
"Come on, little thief. Kill him, and you'll be one of us."
A pirate grinned and handed her a torch.
The crowd cheered again, urging Nami to kill Luffy!
"Damn it! This..."
Nami hesitated.
She was a thief, never having killed anyone. She only stole from pirates, and she felt justified in doing so. But to kill Luffy, she was deeply conflicted and instinctively repelled!
"Boom!"
At that moment, a deafening explosion rang out, accompanied by a ten-meter-long crescent-shaped sword energy slicing through the air.
The sword energy was razor-sharp, cutting everything in its path!
Even the pirate ship was ripped apart!
The sword energy swept across, crashing into Luffy's cage!
"Crack!"
The cage was shattered, and Luffy was freed!
"Who is it?"
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
"Damn, who dares to damage our pirate ship?"
Seeing the commotion, the surrounding pirates roared in anger.
"Huh?"
Buggy's face turned cold as he looked at the sudden arrivals.
"Moonlight, Zoro, you finally arrived!"
Luffy cheered as he saw the two.
"Leave this to you. I'm so hungry. I'm going to eat now!"
After saying this, he ran toward the uneaten food and began devouring it without a care.
"It's not time to eat now!"
Zoro was speechless.
"Who are you? How dare you cause trouble here!"
Buggy's face turned cold as he looked at the two.
"Captain Buggy of the Buggy Pirates, you dared to kidnap our captain, which is a death wish!"
"But my purpose here is, of course, the Great Route's sea chart!"
Moonlight said, looking at Buggy.
"You want my sea chart?"
Buggy's expression turned icy.
"How do you know about the sea chart?"
Nami was shocked.
The Great Route's sea chart was something she had discovered from the Alvita Pirates' ship and was stolen by Buggy. It was extremely secretive, so how could anyone else know about it?
"How I know is not for you to question. You're a navigator, right? I noticed you when you were on the Alvita Pirates' ship. I didn't expect to see you here again. So, how about joining us as our navigator?"
Moonlight smiled at Nami, extending an invitation.
"Join you as your navigator?"
Nami was stunned, clearly not expecting a direct invitation.
