As we sailed down Reverse Mountain's stream, two slightly large towers came into view alongside the gigantic black whale Laboon.
The towers, well Lighthouses were of course the Twin Cape. As we got closer and closer, an old man reading newspaper's figure came into view.
The old man had purple and yellow flower petals around his head, he was bald on the top of his head but the purple and yellow flower petals covered the bald spot; at the bottom left and right of his head below the flower was a patch of white hair.
He had a white beard that split in two parts, he wore a pink shirt with yellow and green stripes and he wore blueish grey shorts; with sandals.
As we got closer and closer to the two lighthouses, the old man finally noticed us and his face showed his surprise by our appearance.
Hmm? Wasn't he inside Laboon in the show? Well that takes place in nine years, it'd be weird if his location didn't change even a tiny bit.
The old man peaked out from the newspaper he was reading in his wooden chair, and gazed at our ship; our eyes locked on each other for a minute as if we were sizing each other up.
"Oh! It's a flower!" Bepo shouted behind me.
"Take a closer look Bepo, it's an old man not a flower! Baka talking bear!" Aoki said jokingly, as she stood beside Bepo.
"Oh, my mistake." Bepo suddenly got depressed and walked back into the ship with his head down.
"Too Sensitive!!" Me and Aoki shouted in unison.
I placed my focus back on the old man and shouted.
"Hey! Oji! Don't you think you should say something when you have guests? Maybe try introducing yourself!"
I already knew who he was, he was Crocus; the Lighthouse Keeper of the Twin Cape.
Although I couldn't just shout his name as he wasn't particularly famous, knowing his name would spawn suspicion and wariness in him.
Crocus's eyes twitched after that and it was clear that he was annoyed.
"Boy, If you want me to introduce myself it's only proper that you do so first." Crocus placed his focus back on his newspaper after saying this.
Didn't he say something similar to this in the show when he was talking to Sanji?
"Hmm, well that's reasonable. My name is Jade D. Avery, Captain of the EastWind Pirate crew!" I shouted proudly.
We had decided on a name as we sailed throughout the East Blue, East signifying where I come from and Wind meaning free.
The Wind, is free; the wind pushes our ships sails allowing us to travel through the seas of this world. (Most of the time; Calm Belts just an exception)
Freedom is what a pirate truly has, a pirate is not restricted by the laws of the world government or any country.
Our Jolly Rodger had a black cap on with the word 'EastWind' in white on it, and a sword replaced the bone at the top left going to the bottom right.
The sword was a replica of Wado Ichimonji, on the left eye socket there was a red slash going downwards.
"Pirates eh? I haven't seen pirates who made it down the mountain in years! Most of them die before they get to the peak!" Crocus shouted.
Crocus stopped his chatter and stared at us again for a good thirty seconds and spoke.
"Well if you were able to survive coming down that damned mountain, you are worthy enough to hear the name of this old fellow; my name is Crocus, Lighthouse Keeper of the Twin Cape."
"So uhh, what are we going to do about that?" Kitt said while pointing at Laboon, his forehead which was injured earlier was back to normal after Law stitched it up.
Everything around us started to shake violently after Laboon crashed into the mountain wall.
"Oh Laboon, you can't keep crashing your head into the mountain!" Crocus shouted from his chair.
Laboon moved to face him and his forehead was all scratched up, although not as bad as it was in the show.
"Woah! What a ginormous whale! It's size is on par with some Sea Kings!" Laffite shouted in amazement.
"T-t-that's a whale?!" Kitt shouted nervously.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you told me that was a Sea King!"
"Hmph! Laboon a Sea King? Laboon wouldn't hurt a fly!"
As he said this Laboon suddenly went underwater and grabbed a mouthful of fish, digesting them completely.
I looked back at Crocus and said.
"I thought he wouldn't hurt a fly."
"Yeah, is a fish a fly?"
"… I'll give you that one."
"Hahaha! Checkmate! Your years too young to best me in a verbal battle boy!"
"Ugh! C'mon Avery, I'm gonna get seasick if we stay in a ship any longer when are we getting to the first Island?" Aoki said from behind me.
The first island huh, it should be Whiskey Peak; it shouldn't be bad as Baroque Works most likely hasn't been established yet.
"Relax, relax, it shouldn't take us very long. Anyway could you somehow make Laboon move, old man Crocus?"
"Now how am I supposed to do that? These old bones are fatigued, you young ones should be able to do that all by yourselfs!"
"Hah, way to be helpful." I jumped up and used Soru to pop up in front of the giant whale and threw a haki filled punch at him.
The punch dealt quite a bit of damage, and a small dent was placed on Laboon's forehead where my fist hit him.
Ultimately, Laboon moved making it easy for us to go pass him.
Our short time at the Twin Cape, came to an end as I said my goodbye to the old man.
"See ya Crocus! Remember the name Jade D. Avery and the EastWind pirates, you'll be seeing us in the paper a ton!" I shouted as I waved off the old man.
"Hohoho, another pirate with 'D' in there name huh. I'll look forward to see what's in store for this one!" If only Crocus knew that there wasn't merely one person with 'D' in there name in this crew, there were two!
