Bab 5: First Member/The sword
"Hey Jack stop being dazzed, lets fight" said by bullet while pointing his finger to me.
"Yea yea let's get this over with" i said nonchalantly while waving my hands like it wasnt a big deal.
He didn't speak after that and just ready his fist for a fight while i reach for the hilt of my knife.
After staring for about 3 second, im the first one to move while still holding the hilt of my knife preparing for a slash.
Bullet saw through my intention and wanted to fight head on, so he also rushed preparing for a punch.
We collide and exchange of barrage of punches and slashes. This continue for about 30 minutes when we jump away from each other.
while we are sparring, shanks and buggy was watching and cheering for us.
"hey buggy who do you think would win?" ask by shanks while carefully watching the match.
it takes a while for buggy to answer as he also was watching carefully.
"i think it will be bullet, because he is much older and bigger" said by buggy while holding his chin acting like a genius.
bullet's height now has reached 3 meters which is one meter higher than mine but thats not what decide the outcome of the match.
"its clearly that jack would win as he has the upperhand since the beginning of the fight" shanks retort which makes the duo argue.
bullet's whole body is full of small cuts while mine was full of bruises but still not as much as bullet.
"its this all you can do, bullet" i mocked him while laughing.
i could see a vein growing in his head due to being annoyed by me.
"HAAHAHHAHA" I just laugh at him much louder.
to which makes him turn red in anger, he's clearly smoking now. hahahah
Because were on the ship, bullet cannot fully used his devil fruit as roger would be angry but he also has some stack metals.
bullet used his devil fruit and merge many types on metal forming a metal giant which shock the trainee duo as they are still new in the sea.
"hum becareful not getting hurt as im starting to get serious" bullet said with a mechanic voice because of his metal armor with haki attached.
"then i should also get serious indeed" i said while also adding my armament and conqueror haki onto my knife.
after getting serious which makes the atmosphere tense while our conqueror haki was colliding with each other.
due to the tense atmosphere, buggy and shanks became anxious on whats gonna happen next then rayleigh arrived and help them from resisting the conqueror haki and also to watch the match.
i calmy look at bullet while readying my knife for a clash.
"are you not gonna make a move? then i wont be polite!" i said while seeing that he doesnt have plan to attack first
my knife collide with his fist which make us step back. he step back 3 step while i only step back 2 step.
then he send out an octopus like tentacles made out of metal to which i just either cut or dodge.
our exchange lasted for 1 hour when bullet make a mistake which i take advantage of resulting the destruction of his armor.
bullet without his armor is much easier opponent for me. all he could only do is to defend all of my attack which result into his defeat.
he was lying on the floor panting, full of cuts on his body.while i pointed my knife on him and also panting for breathe.
after seeing the outcome of our battle, shanks ,buggy and rayleigh has already left to continue training as they were move by our power.
"hah...hah...i win again bullet" i said calmly while looking at him.
he didnt refute what i said or promise he will win next time but just calmlylook at the sky.
"hah....hahh....jack, what's your dream?" rather he ask me.
i frown as bullet never care about anything else than being stronger.
"a dream ha, maybe to became the strongest person in the world or sail the whole world or leave my name in the history or maybe just to build a family" i answer while looking at the sky and sea.
"a family? what a meaningless dream." he make fun of me to which i didnt mind as he was always like that.
"my dream was to beat everyone and be the strongest of all!" bullet said while raising his hand on the sky.
i calmly look at him, then lay besides him.
"hey bullet" i called him while looking also at the sky.
"what is it?" he ask while looking at me.
"what are your plan for the future?" i ask him still staring at the sky.
"plans? i dont have one yet" he said.
then after that, there was a silence for a while.
"how about you, whats your plan for the future?" he ask me.
i didnt answer immediately but calmly look at the sky.
"i would leave the Roger Pirate....." i said with a calm tone.
my reply shocked bullet as he knew how long i've been on the crew and how close i am to then.
"...and build my own that will be the strongest of all." i added to which shocked bullet even more and left him stunned.
i sit up and calmly move my gaze from the sky to him who has a shocked face.
"bullet, would you join my crew." i ask him while spreading my hands.
there was a silence for a while then bullet took my hand and also sit up.
"then im in your care, captain KAHAHAHA" he said grinning.
"does this mean im the vice captain of the ship?" he ask to me.
"no." i said which makes him frown.
"youre gonna be my sword, the strongest sword i would ever have." i said at him while grinning while he also did.
