Beep beep beep!
Not long after King and Meowth correctly adjusted their direction, the Infinite Dream's hull suddenly flashed with countless red exclamation marks.
[Attention! Unknown dangerous energy source detected rapidly approaching! Attention! Unknown dangerous energy source detected rapidly approaching!]
Equipped with fire control radar and Meowth's advanced technology, the Infinite Dream had an automatic danger detection and warning function. The urgent and loud electronic voice echoed, tightening the nerves of everyone on deck who had just relaxed.
Looking towards the direction of the Infinite Dream's warning, they saw a mass of red-hot magma crossing the sky, rapidly approaching them!
"What is that? Magma flying in the air?!" Brook exclaimed, unable to contain his shock. Despite being accustomed to the bizarre climate phenomena of the Grand Line, the scene before him still brought immense astonishment.
"A dirty, despicable monster?" Aqua scrutinized the magma, which distorted the surrounding space with its intense heat, sensing the unmistakable hostility within it.
"A new Marine weapon? No, there seems to be a shadow of a person in that magma!" Meowth, holding a monocular telescope, quickly noticed something unusual.
"Oh~ Magi yabakune." Kanna stood on tiptoes, her little hands shading her eyes as she curiously observed the approaching mass of magma. To her, the pirate world was still quite unfamiliar, and all sorts of strange things piqued her interest.
Behind her, the sound of the Emperor Engine slowly began to rumble. With his arms crossed, King maintained a calm expression, watching the magma now close at hand, his heartbeat gradually accelerating.
Unlike Aqua, who enjoyed slacking off, or Meowth, who buried himself in research, King often kept up with news and reports from the sea, preparing for any eventuality.
When he thought of magma associated with the Marines, he immediately thought of Akainu, the Magma-Magma Fruit user, and the ruthless Marine Admiral candidate known for his decisive and lethal actions against pirates.
If Akainu was here, did that mean the Marines' Admiral was nearby too?!
As if to confirm King's alarming suspicion, the blazing magma revealed the figure of Akainu, clad in his Marine justice cloak.
"A Marine? These persistent pests—if that's the case, let's show them something they'll remember, meow!" Realizing the ill intent of the approaching figure, Meowth wasted no time activating the Endless Dream's weapon system.
Zzzzap!
The mast's tip glowed with blinding blue light, violent currents quickly amassing to form a deadly electromagnetic cannon that fired at the speeding Akainu. The concentrated electric current pierced through the magma, ripping a hideous gash in Akainu's magma body!
Boom boom boom!
Several tracking missiles marked with the Team Rocket "R" logo followed, trailing tails of smoke before exploding on the molten mass, scattering magma in all directions and shrouding the area in thick smoke.
Taking such an attack head-on would leave even a Marine Vice Admiral severely injured, but not Akainu, who could freely transform into magma to avoid damage.
Whoosh!
Before Meowth could celebrate the demonstration of the Endless Dream's weaponry, blistering heat tore through the smoke, revealing Akainu's ominous three-meter-tall shadow casting an oppressive aura over the deck of the Endless Dream.
With the sudden burst of Soru, Akainu had instantly boarded the Endless Dream, appearing before Aqua and the others!
"Even now, you sinners still entertain foolish fantasies of escaping justice?" Akainu, wearing his Marine cap, with magma oozing from his right arm, glared coldly, eyes brimming with killing intent—starkly different from Kizaru's lazy demeanor.
Clearly, he had come with pure malice!
"You bastard, how dare you slander this goddess so openly!" Aqua's temper flared instantly. She manipulated water to launch a high-pressure water cannon at Akainu.
Despite being somewhat dim-witted, Aqua could clearly sense Akainu's unmasked hostility.
Zzzz!
The water cannon hit Akainu's magma face, instantly turning into scorching steam.
'This seemingly ordinary water makes me feel weak? So, this is Aqua, the Water Witch...'
Akainu remained expressionless, letting the high-pressure water cannon wash over him while waves of surprise surged within. His magma could usually melt ice effortlessly!
Bubbling and boiling, magma erupted from Akainu's body, evaporating the water cannon. He raised his magma right arm high, ready to unleash his deadly move.
"Inugami Guren!"
A terrifying burst of energy exploded towards Aqua, her vision filled with blinding firelight before she could react. The fearsome claw of magma hurtled towards her with terrifying speed and power.
In the nick of time, a petite figure darted in front of Aqua. Kanna, her eyes serious, punched with a fist charged with purple lightning, meeting the magma claw head-on.
Boom!!!
Kanna's small fist unleashed an overwhelming force, holding the massive magma claw in place, unable to push forward. The violent shockwave from their clash shook the entire Endless Dream!
Even a little girl has this level of strength?
Thunder clashed with magma, splattering lava and revealing Akainu's pupils shrinking beneath his cap. Seeing King and the others standing behind Kanna, a drop of sweat appeared on his stern face.
Despite his shock, Akainu had no intention of retreating. Stepping forward heavily, his magma right arm surged with more force.
Kanna, unyielding, let her purple hair fly wildly, unleashing stronger lightning in response. Under the onslaught, the magma claw was gradually pushed back.
In pure power, human Akainu couldn't match the raw strength of a young ancient dragon.
"Kanna likes Aqua's delicious water. You won't hurt her!" Kanna's cute face contorted, showing a fierce dragon's visage. Her fanged mouth opened, unleashing a lightning blast far surpassing the Infinite Dream's electromagnetic cannon!
The beam streaked across the sky, catching Akainu off guard, blasting him into the sea like a magma missile.
Boom!
The beam exploded on the sea's surface, creating a small mushroom cloud, sending countless fish flying out of the water, seeing their ancestors waving at them.
After several seconds, the chaotic energy dissipated.
Bubbling...
The turbulent sea calmed, only to erupt with bubbles from below. An underwater volcanic explosion sent magma shooting skyward!
Akainu emerged from the magma, hovering with Geppo, looking worse for wear.
For someone of his caliber, the sea's effect on Devil Fruit users was nearly negligible.
Kanna gazed at the airborne Akainu, her breath uneven, indicating fatigue. She could continue fighting but was at a disadvantage without Zyhark to recharge her.
"You did well, Kanna. Leave the rest to me!" Aqua, seeing Kanna's state, decided to show Akainu the power of a water goddess.
"Aqua, wait. Fighting him here is too dangerous for the Endless Dream," Meowth said, glancing at the magma-scorched deck.
Against Akainu, who could attack from the air and cover a large area, the floating Infinite Dream was a sitting duck. Meowth proposed they use the ship's advantage and dive underwater, shifting to stealth mode.
Everyone, including Aqua, agreed with his plan. The wings of the Endless Dream retracted, and it descended towards the sea.
"Don't think you can escape my judgment, criminals!" Akainu, realizing their plan, enlarged his magma arm, spewing flames.
"Dai Funka!"
Whoosh!
He hurled a giant magma fist that exploded into smaller magma balls, like a meteor shower, targeting the descending Infinite Dream.
"Holy Water Summon!"
Aqua's eyes glowed red, using her Kenbunshoku Haki while summoning a deep blue magic circle. The sea below churned, forming upward water currents to shield the ship.
Boom boom boom!
The magma meteors collided with the water shield, creating a rain of steam that obscured Akainu's vision. When the steam cleared, the sea was empty—the Endless Dream had vanished!
"A ship that can fly like an airship and dive underwater? What kind of vessel did they build in Water 7?" Akainu pondered, ultimately abandoning the chase.
Though he could navigate the sea with his powers, chasing a submarine was unrealistic. Frustrated, he returned to the awaiting Marine warship.
"These people are more troublesome than the reports suggested," Zephyr sighed, having observed the battle.
"I failed this time," Akainu admitted, rare remorse showing on his stern face.
"Don't worry. We lost due to equipment. Next time, we won't let them escape so easily," Zephyr reassured.
"Next time, they won't get away!" Akainu vowed.
"I wonder how Borsalino is doing. The Evil Thunder, Zyhark, is a monster even Garp and Sengoku struggle with," Zephyr mused, his words carrying a double meaning.
Meanwhile, unnoticed underwater, the Endless Dream circled back. Aqua, the vindictive water goddess, couldn't let an offense go unpunished, especially not in her domain, the sea!
Back in Water 7, the Flam dismantling factory lay in ruins, molten steel flowing like lava. Zyhark and Kizaru had moved their battle elsewhere.
In the distance, light and lightning clashed, causing buildings to collapse in their wake.
"Running now is futile. I told you, I won't let you escape easily," Kizaru taunted, his fingertips firing laser beams at the fleeing Zyhark.
Zyhark enhanced his Kenbunshoku Haki to dodge the attacks while racing towards the coast.
He realized his Haki was still too weak. Though he could hold his own in a fruit battle, his disadvantage showed in Haki, especially Armament Haki, where Kizaru's advanced level proved overwhelming.
Finally, Zyhark reached the coast, flying low over the sea. The ocean provided an advantage Kizaru couldn't match.
"What are you planning? At sea, I won't hold back to protect the town," Kizaru warned, hovering with his arms glowing.
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
Kizaru transformed into pure light, bombarding the sea with light bullets, covering Zyhark.
Boom boom boom boom!
Fish flew into the sky, the intense light making Zyhark's blue lightning seem insignificant.
