It was a quiet cold night on the island of Ryu no Shima and the only thing heard was the screams of agony coming from a large home,
As time passed the noise kept dying down till the cries of a baby were heard.
A Woman could be seen holding a bundle in her arms, that day A legend was born one that would come to rival the pirate king himself one day, and the name of that child was Moeru D Ryu or also know as the future Flamaing red flow

The woman held her child as she cued while holding the little bundle of joy, her father one of the clan's most respected elders and a former swordsman stood next to her as he listened to his daughter fawning over the child.
A small gentle smile crossed his old wrinkly face as he watched his daughter holding his one and only grandson, He spoke softly asking 'What will you name the child Hisho'
The woman now known as Hisho looked up to her father and said 'How about Ryu?' as she looked down at her small child.
The child had fire red hair {think yoriichi's or tanjiro's hair from demon slayer} and big black eyes that seemed to peer into her very soul, Her father otherwise known as Minamoto one of the greatest and strongest samurai looked down at her with a smile.
'Moeru Ryu is a fitting name for one who will become a great samurai' said the old man as he stroked his long beard, 'I never said I wanted him to become a samurai' said Hisho as she pouted at her father, knowing that her father would insist to train him either way.
She gently handed the Ryu over to her father as he took him into his arms and said 'One day you will surpass all of us and become the strongest swordsman, I promise you that Ryu'

A red-haire child could be seen holding a wooden katana as he swung it several times in front of a large Japanese-looking mansion he was being watched by an old man standing on the porch of the mansion a woman could be seen sitting on a chair next to the old man while she sipped on a cup of tea.
**********************************************
'don't you think you're being too harsh on him?' asked the woman as she looks at her three-year-old son swinging his sword while being hit by the harsh rays of the sun.
'nonsense' said Minamoto as he stared at the boy seeing if there were any flaws in his technique.
'why is he being trained now he is only three he hasn't made any friends during this time it's unhealthy' She looked at her father worriedly.
'A warrior's skills should be honed as soon as he is able to pick up a blade' narrowing his eyes as he kept looking onwards.
The boy soon fell as he let go of his blade lying down on his bum he looked towards his grandfather saying, 'Jiji can I please take a rest I've been swinging for the past hour and my arms hurt'
Minamoto soon looked at his grandson and spoke
'You can take a break for a few minutes but we will resume right afterward'
Ryu soon stood up and run to his mother saying
'Ka-san can I go explore the forest after I'm done with Jiji's training?' as he cutely pouted while holding on to her.
She simply smiled and said
'Sure why not but after taking a bath you reek' She playfully pinched her nose and looked at him
'ok, I'll take a bath before heading out then' as he giggled.
**********************************************
an hour later the Minamoto came out of the house as he sensed Ryu missing,
'hisho where did little Ryu go?'
Giggling softly she said
'he went out to play in the forest, I'm sure he'll be safe'
'I remember explicitly telling him we would be continuing his training right after a short break'
As he stroked his long beard glaring at his daughter
'my my father don't look so angry he is a little boy I'm sure you can continue your training some other time'
As she held a hand to her mouth while giggling at her father's expense
[Ryu's POV]
"Jiji's training is tiring I never even said that I wanted to become a samurai", he pouted while walking even further into the forest,
'good thing I packed a few rice balls from the kitchen I was starving' he took out one and started eating.
A few minutes of walking went by as he admired the lush forest around him before he suddenly slipped almost falling into the ocean below
He sweated as he held onto the cliff's edge
"That was a close call I didn't expect that we lived so close to the ocean that would have been a tough landing"
As he climbed up and sat down on the grassy floor and stared at the wide sea in front of him in awe
