"Darkest before dawn. Part 1.5"

Character: Himora Amir.

Species: Shell-kin/ Human.

Class: Oceanic Sea Scout Captain. Swordsman.

Nation: Crater Coast Flotilla: Silvaira Roam. Deep Stone City.

Age: 26 HLS

Weapon: -Waist wrap whip made from jellyfish tentacles.

-Boot knife.

-Clock work shell shield.

-Deep Stone Steel Khopesh x2.

-Wrist mounted mini-bow.

Origin:

As a "Servant of the Shell" Himora was born into a caste system. His family was tasked with and known for their unparalleled skill at both Oceanic Mapping, and Deep Sea Cultivation.

At a young age Himora joined the Night Guard. His skin was tattooed with ancestral runes that allow him to access and utilize a wide range of abilities passed down throughout the history of his people. Upon the completion of his training he was declared by his elders to be not only a prodigy, but an admirable and staunch symbol of everything that his people stood for and represented.

Himora can stay on the surface for a tenday -two weeks give or take- before he must return to the sea for at least 3 days, or he will dehydrate rapidly without Aetheral assistance. Himora can be a bit clumsy on land at times given the fact that he was raised near the ocean floor.

Update!

Upon receiving a request from the legendary Captain Gideon Karath, Himora Amir and his squad were despatched to assist in the capture or killing of the notorious Pirate Captain known as Windwrom at the behest of the King of the Shell-kin.

While this is his main mission, Himora is also heading North for reasons more personal once his first mission is complete.

He made a promise to an old friend some time ago...

Back when the entire world seemed to be at war.

He is bound for Garth Verlore and a new life as a Combat Instructor for the prestigious Melee-based Ground known as Junt.

Himora and his kin are known far and wide for their formidable swordsmanship and overall combat prowess. They are conversely avoided and stigmatized more often than not due to their enigmatic. dark history and boldly foreign appearance.

While Windrom's spies may have caught on to Gideon's plan of hiring A Shell-kin, they had no idea -just as Gideon himself- that their would come to be THREE onboard!

Himora's mysterious King had indeed heard of Windrom, and the Silvaira Roam had even crossed paths with the dangerously ambitious Pirate. It would be up to Himora and his team to finally put a stop to the madman's rule over the Northern coast of Enverdolmal and the island chain known as Strengilande Islands.

While he can be rather detached and emotionless at times, Himora is an apt and demonstrative leader who most people would follow into hell if given the chance. His martial ability is just as if not as potent as his sense of integrity.

Abilities:

-Oceanic sonar.

-Master level swordsmen.

-Runic magic/ Nautical Magecraft.

-Under water breathing.

-Water-Aether clones. The clones actions are autonomous, allowing them to move and think on their own, and without being a tax on Himora's Aether pool. They will dissipate if a "lethal" amount of damage is inflicted. Their stats are nearly equal to Himora's.

Strength: 8/10.

Stamina: 7.5/10.

Dexterity: 8.5/10.

Intellect: 7.5/10.

Nation: Crater Coast Flotilla: Silvaira Roam. Deep Stone City.

Age: 23 HLS

-Boot knife.

-Clock work shell shield.

-Deep Stone Steel short-sword style Khopesh and collapsible rod attachment that augments the sword into a Glaive version.

-Wrist mounted mini-bow.

Origin:

Rim grew up alongside Himore and Keeyin near the floor of the sea in an equal parts wondrous and mysterious city known only as Deep Stone.

Her childhood was relatively simply by Shell-kin standards, her family being descendants of skilled blacksmiths and weapons masters added her greatly when she sought to join the O.S.S. Her father was a highly decorated veteran of many wars, her mother, a famous and lauded blacksmith. Both did well in passing along their respective trades to their highly absorbent only child.

Rim mastered the Khopesh at such a young age that even her Weapons Master was at a loss as to her rapid growth.

Her agility, dexterity, and speed scores were beyond the majority of her peers, landing her well within the top 20 of the top 100 fighters aboard Silvaira Roam. After mastering her single and dual-wield sword styles, Rim opted to study the Glaive and all of the Martial arts styles that would add her in its use.

Rim and Himora became fast friends just as soon as they meet on their first day upon the Silvaira Roam when Himora had appeared to be lost beyond words in his search for his first studies room. They have been bestfriends since that day, a relationship tested in both book studies and battle.

Abilities:

"Darkest before dawn. Part 1.5"

Character: Keeyin Loc.

Species: Shell-kin/ Human.

Class: Oceanic Sea Scout Second Officer. Swordswoman.

Nation: Crater Coast Flotilla: Silvaira Roam. Deep Stone City.

Age: 24 HLS

Weapon: -Waist wrap whip made from jellyfish tentacles.

-Boot knife.

-Clock work shell shield.

-Deep Stone "Ebontite" Khopesh x2. Crafted from rare and invaluable Ebontite that was mined from the deepest, darkest debts of the Deep Stone City mines. This stone is three times the density of diamond, therefore it is also extremely heavy.

-Wrist mounted mini-bow.

Origin:

Keeyin's life was very much the opposite of those of Rim and Himora. He was not born into any caste amongst the people of Silvaira Roam, nor was he even born in Deep Stone City as all of the other Shell-kin are.

Keeyin is the secret adoptive child of the King of the Shell-kin.

He was taken in as an infant and raised as the king's own when his branch of the Shell-Kin was exiled and banished from both the Silvaira Roam and Deep Stone City after a failed coup.

Keeyin's father was an established and heroic O.S.S Commander during the Dragonian Wars. He fell from grace when he sought to overthrow the current King of the Shell-kin, launching a coup and uprising of fellow and like-minded veterans who meant to take the Silvaira Roam as their own.

His father's plan failed and he was subsequently killed during the battle that ensued between his loyalist and the O.S.S Unites upon the Silvaira Roam. The boys mother could not stomach the idea of raising the child out in the wild depths of the sea, and she begged the King's mercy on behalf of her only son.

This was granted and the boy was gifted to the king. He grew up for the most part in seclusion as he was naturally a loner as her got older. With his training complet, his adoptive father sent him to be an O.S.S. where he could put to use his considerable acquired skills.

The boy became a well-rounded and balanced man with a heart just as strong and kind as the King who took him in as a baby. He and Himora met when their shared Weapons Master set them against each other to spar.

Keeyin is the only person in all of Deep Stone City to ever best Himora in singular combat. He is extraordinarily strong, wielding a pair of ten-pound Ebontite Khopesh while the average sword of that make is just over two pounds.

Abilities:

-Oceanic sonar.

-Master level swordsmen.

-Runic magic/ Nautical Magecraft.

-Under water breathing.

-Can make himself and his weapons extremely heavy by increasing the density of his Aether. This allows his the ability to tank heavier attacks than his comrades, and dish out devastatingly heavy blows when necessary. He can double, or triple his weight at will, allowing for him to become up to nearly 500 pounds.

Stats:

Strength: 9.5/10.

Stamina: 6.5/10.

Agility: 6.5/10.

Dexterity: 7.5/10.

Intellect: 7.5/10.

"Darkest before down. Part 1."

Character: Gideon Karath.

Species: Human/Sea Dwarf. Dwarfym.

Class: Sea Captain. Duelist.

Nation: Crater Coast. Brim.

Age: 82 HLS.

Weapon: -Twin steel spike swords (essentially yard-long pointed steel bars with intricate sword handle parts.)

6-shot Aether hand cannon.

Origin:

His mother, a Bartender.

His father, a Sea Dwarf Sailor.

His very heart, soul, and bones were made for his line of work as a Sea Captain.

He learned to speak easy and barter with the best of the best around the bars of the Crater Coast Collective at the behest of his mother who would often travel and work in his fathers constant absence. He wasn't told till he was old enough to fully understand, that Sea Dwarfs were rarely ones to take to land. His conception and subsequent abandonment had been an all to common happenstance in and about the Crater Coast Collective.

Royal Seamen, Pirates, Assassins, Merchants, and everything in between frequent and favor the rouge frontier that is Grootawe. Gideon grew up among the lowest of society, bouncing from bars to brothels with his mother until his 18th birthday. It was at this age that he signed up for the Blades of Wegkrip, a role that helped him find what he thought was his purpose. He would be a Soldier for the Borough. His goal: To help clean up the C.C.C.

But he was young and foolish. He had no real perception of how deep and unmovable the hand of corruption was in that corner of the world.

His subsequent failure to change the wild lands in his five years served left him disillusioned with his station. This led him to bid his mother a heartfelt farewell, and head out to Sea just as his father had. He would be a man of the Sea,

At this, he knew he could not fail.

10 years and 1000 completed trips later, Gideon Karath became Captain Karath of Karath's Haste: A renowned and respected Coastal Trade Ship, and one of the best in all of Enverdolmal.

Update!

Among the many things that Gideon is known for, his most famous and prestigious title would have to be that of Pirate Hunter.

His personal kill count is well over 1000, a feat that many a Veteran of the "trade" have yet to accomplish. While his crew has amassed a kill count of just over 3000 among their 150 men and women.

While the Karaths Haste is in fact a registered Coastal Trade Ship, Captain Gideon's cargo holds can be converted from thus to prisoner holds in a matter of hours if the need arises. The impressive ship is akin to a Gally, allowing for up to 300 crew at most. Karaths Haste is manned and run by just a crew of just 75 during most trips, but can easily and quickly double or triple that number in time of need of during especially dangerous hunts.

Gideon's travels have garnered him some fine friends in the most unlikely of places, one being the elusive and fabled Shell-kin King himself whose name is unknown to all but the most important among humanity. He utilized that friendship in order to beg assistance of the King and his skilled people with the bringing to justice of Pirate Captain Windrom.

Not in his wildest dreams would he have imagined that the great King would commision THREE O.S.S. Officers to such a cause. It was a dream that he would take and run with without question, for one Shell-kin was easily worth ten trained sailors or five seasoned fighters.

Abilities:

-Can absorb kinetic energy and redirect it (typically into his swords or he can convert the energy into Aether ammunition for his Hand cannon.)

-Mid-level Nautical Magecraft and Aetherology.

-Marksman Shooter.

-Master Swordsmen.

-Highly influential negotiator.

Stats:

Strength: 8.5/10.

Stamina: 6.5/10.

Agility: 8.5/10.

Dexterity: 7.5/10.

Intellect: 8.5/10.

Aether: 5.5/10.

Resilience: 10/10.

Resistance: High Magic: 3/10.

Low Magic: 5.5/10.

"Darkest before dawn. Part 1."

Character: Windlow Entide. A.K.A Windrom.

Species: Human.

Class: Pirate Captain.

Nation: Crayosia. Lustria: Strengilande Islands.

Age: 50 HLS.

Weapon: -Two-handed, Claymore-style Cutlass with a wind elemental affinity.

-4-shot Aether Rifle.

-Twin Daggers.

Origin:

On a cold, dark night, a vigilant Watchmen walked along the Western shore of a small Island. From off in the distance, he heard a faint cry.

Casting his view to the sea, he spotted a small boat.

He tossed his spear, helm, and armor aside and swam for the boat.

Upon reaching it, he found a man.

A dead man, cradling a dead woman.

And in woman's arms was a tiny, red-headed baby with glowing orange eyes...

That baby was Windrom.

That Watchman would go on to become the Island Chief.

He would raise Windrom as his own, naming the child Windlow Intide.

Unbeknownst to the loving Chief, Windrom had been born in not only a war-torn land but among a warmongering people...

On his 20th birthday, Windrom poisoned the man over dinner, completing his 7-year-planned coup.

Within the month he had taken control over the Island under a false name, robbed it of every coin its people had entrusted to their Chief, and made his way West at sea to find his homeland. Windrom had left with a single ship, and 20 loyal sailors.

10 years later he returned with a fleet of 20 ships and just under 1000 men.

With them, he took full control over the collective Islands of Strengilande.

The size and strength of Windrom's fleet has only grown in the past two decades, and his fearsome reputation has spread far and wide, so much so that the Elves of the Cape Counsel of Lustria have all but forsaken the Islands in fear of war with the ruthless Pirate Captain. Many a ship's Captain have been "inspired" to hire and keep Nautical Mages aboard their ships in recent times in order to combat the higher rate of attacks on the high seas at the hands of Windrom's many wandering Pirate clans.

Update!

Windrom's spy network is not nearly as vast and well-equipped as that of the Shell-kin, yet those within its ranks are exceedingly well disciplined for land-bound Pirates, or Buccaneers.

Windrom has been the scourge and terror of the stretch of high seas North of Lustria for just under two decades. The Sunder Sea is a dangerous-enough place without he and his kind, but he personally sees to it to make it that much worse with each passing day.

Windrom seems to be driven and motivated only by chaos and the promise of battle that it brings. He is aware of the massive bounty that has been not only updated but officially picked up by the one man that he had hoped would take the challenge: Captain Gideon Karath., and he is quite happy with the idea of it.

Windrom is nearly the mirror of Gideon.

Cruel where he is Kind.

Cold where he is Welcoming.

Crass where he is intelligent.

That isn't to say that he is stupid or uneducated by any means.

Windrom's disposition is just one for violence and bloodshed.

Rumor has it that he is in all actuality -and unbenounced even to himself- a member or descendant of the long-lost Scale-kin, a war-minded clan of peoples who worshiped and retained a great and terrible Sea Serpent, and the ancestral enemy of the legendary Shell-kin.

In his layered scheming, the Pirate Captain has even managed to retain the services of one of the best Blood Trackers in the land in order to help him counter the combat prowess of the O.S.S. who was hired by Gideon before his ships departure.

Abilities:

-Expert Swordsman.

-Marksman.

-Low Nautical Magecraft/Aetherology.

-Can cast illusions and disguise objects with said illusions.

-Wind elemental manipulation.

Stats:

Strength: 7.5/10.

Stamina: 6/10.

Agility: 7.5/10.

Dexterity: 8/10.

Intellect: 8.5/10.

Aether: 6.5/10.

Resilience: 7.5/10.

Resistance: High Magic: 6.5/10.

Low Magic: 7/10.

"Darkest before dawn. Part 1."

Character: Tyloric Meirasti. A.K.A Tylin Ten-blades.

Species: Wereshark/Elfym.

Class: Shifter/Mercenary Rogue.

Nation: Port Cove, Lustria South.

Age: 70 HLS.

Weapon: Dual Bowie-style knives. These are highly enchanted and can absorb and displace up to a cubic ton of water each.

-Boot knives x2.

-Ebontite Knuckle dusters forged from Ebontite stolen from Deep Stone City, the only place in all of Enverdolmal where it can be found.

Origin.

An emotionless Mercenary Rogue and Windrom's newly recruited right-hand man, Tylin Ten-blade earned a name for himself long before he was hired by the uncouth Pirate Captain as one of the most fired sell-swords in all of Enverdolmal.

His moniker of "Ten-blade" comes from his ability to summon and unsummon his lethal dual-blades in such quick succession that witnesses say that while fighting, he appears to have ten blades at his disposal.

Tyloric's life was -to him- far too boring in his youth.

He is the nephew of the King of the Elves himself, King Meirasti V.

This granted him access to nearly anything he could ask for or dream of, which in turn caused him to spoil rather quickly.

Between his studies and martial training, he took to capturing and dissecting all manners of both beasts and humanoids without his parents ever finding out. Anything that he could out-wit or over-power was up for grabs in his eyes.

This behavior and "hobby" would follow him into his adulthood, steering him into a career as a Sword-for-hire. While his parents were not very found of this notion, his eccentric uncle was open to the idea of the rogue-ish boy setting out on his own to make a name for himself and maybe find with it, a bit of maturity.

Tyloric would very quickly rack up quite the reputation as a skilled and reliable Sell-sword, more accurately, a Bounty Hunter. this in turn would gain him the attention of some of the worst of the underworld and criminal syndicates. He was offered many a role and position of power, but he turned them all down in lue of one offer in particular: An offer from the world-infamous Rogues Guild.

He would use his list of feats, boastful abilities, and terrifyingly-high confirmed kill count in order to cause a perpetual bidding war for his services.

It was a bidding war that was eventually won just recently by Pirate Captain Windrom, and this would be Tylin Ten-blade's first official mission as an officially sanctioned member of the Rogues Guild and an Industry-noted veteran.

It would be one that even man such as he - one with nearly zero concept of sentiment- would remember with a sprinkle of fondness.

Should he survive that is.

Abilities:

-Expert Swordsman.

-Mid-level Nautical Magecraft/Aetherology.

-Can summon and unsummon his blades with an astounding lack of delay between the event.

-Water elemental manipulation.

-Deep knowledge of the physical biological anatomy of most bipedal humanoid's and an immeasurable number of monsters and animals.

Stats:

Strength: 6.5/10.

Stamina: 8/10.

Agility: 8/10.

Dexterity: 8.5/10.

Intellect: 6/10.

Aether: 6.5/10.

Resilience: 6.5/10.

Resistance: High Magic: 5.5/10.

Low Magic: 6.5/10.
