Vreihya's P.O.V
I was awakened by a rumbling in the vast room. I gradually opened my eyes and stood up. I dozed off since I was exhausted from the battle earlier. An ascending staircase appeared unexpectedly on the wall in front of me.
The steps, like the tower's walls, are made of bricks. I ascended the stairs slowly. It was dark at the steps of the stairs at first, but as I climbed higher, the lamps on the wall gradually brightened up.
After a few minutes of peaceful walking, I came across a door. I shaded my eyes slightly because they appeared startled by the bright light. I uncovered my eyes as I went inside, and they immediately dilated.
A big lawn surrounded by a dense forest of trees and other plants greated me. The fresh air and warmth of the sun immediately overwhelmed my body. I scarcely looked up because of the sound of birds flying in the clear sky.
It's a haven! I was in the middle of a tranquil thought when I looked behind me to take in the entire scene and my knees appeared to go weak. I gasped again, shocked by what I had seen.
Because of the unexpected illumination, I immediately examined my clothing. My green dress was gradually replaced by a long white dress. When I recognized what I was wearing, I became even more firmly bewildered.
It was white with floral motifs on the hem, and I believe it was stitched by my mother. I don't seem to like the memory that is being dug up again. I glanced at a large mansion that I was unfamiliar before but am now accustomed to seeing due to my travels in this world.
This is the same mansion where my nightmare began. Its exquisite design hasn't changed since I first saw it when I was nine years old. I'm not sure what pushed me, but I looked up at the second floor of the grand mansion.
When I saw him there again, I was practically deafened by the quick beat of my heart. Just like the first time I saw him. But he wasn't a boy anymore since he was the grown up Mino I'd been with. He was dressed in a blue T-shirt and blue jammies. Exactly what he was wearing when I first saw him.
Despite our distance, I couldn't help but marvel at his perfection. If I was impressed by his attractive appearance when he was young, it appears that his elegance and good looks have improved.
He appears to be becoming more stunning as he ages. "Mommy!" he yelled loudly, his chest heaving. The book he was reading immediately slipped from his grip. I was stunned because the same thing had happened in the past.
Will I have to relive my nightmare? I noticed the crimson and black light emanating from his chest once more. No! No! I don't want to revisit and be terrified by this recollection.
I don't intend to use uncle's power to raise me into the air and get closer to him like I did before. I don't want to think about this moment anymore. I was ready to turn around and run away when I was stopped by something that seemed to control my body.
My feet sprung up out of the grass. Entrante! I struggled to battle the forces I couldn't see, but I was immediately shocked because I drew closer to his room's large window. No! No! I do not desire!
He was about to cry due of the terrible agony and continuously called his mother, as he had done before. There's still time! I have the option to leave. I forced my feet to jump out the large window.
He can't see me! I don't want to help him right now! I tried everything I could to get my body to move, but I couldn't. My body rejects me even more, while my head grumbles loudly. Please! I don't want to go through this again.
I appeared to be scolding myself because I instantly approached him and made him face me. Entrante! For the sake of the moon! I despise this memory! When he looked at me, his eyes widened. "Who are you?" he inquired, like he had done before.
I didn't respond and went to sit close to his body on the spur of the moment. Entrante! Because I can't control my own body, I feel like I'm poisoning myself. My heart is racing because I know what I'm afraid of is about to happen.
For a long time, I kept in my memory and trauma from this memory then I will just relive it! "We have the same illness," I said out of nowhere, and I wanted to tear off my mouth.
"Don't worry... We will be okay," my lips suddenly smiled, despite my intense desire to flee. He was ready to smile as usual when he halted since his chest ached even worse. I haven't felt the agony in my chest in a long time.
It only confirms that being close to Mino is the cure for the illness, as I manage to forget how it feels because he is with me now. My body stood up on its own and waved my hands, lifting him into the air and placing him on his bed.
His face was replete with shock and dread, exactly as it had been when we were little. I would have fled if I had known that this was the beginning of my painful experience.
"Why you looked so surprise? Is this the first time you saw a power?" I asked, but my heart seemed to beat wildly. That occurrence is coming. I appeared to be preparing to confront the memories, but I was startled and backed away when I heard what sounded like a gun.
I turned to face the two sensed presences. My brow furrowed quickly as I noticed Mino's mother and father both pointing guns at me. I was still stunned and frightened when I noticed Mino sitting properly on the bed.
He quietly searched the bottom of his pillow, which shocked me even more because I saw what he retrieved from there and pointed at me.
"Mi-Mino?" I gulped, but he merely glared. I'm curious why the illumination and pain in his chest that he was experiencing just now have vanished. What is going on?
They were staring at me, and I knew that one false move would make me feel the silver bullet once more. "What you said, Dad, is real! A monster is coming for me," Mino stated coldly.
Why is it this way? Why is this memory so different? This is not what occurred. "Those years of preparation solely for this moment have been worthwhile," his father stated solemnly. "They can't take you away from us, son!" his mother added.
Because of my realization, I quickly stepped back again. This isn't a memory, but rather a different scenario. It demonstrates what would happen if they informed Mino that the time would come for me to see him. This is what would happen if his parents had taught him to defend himself against us.
"Mi- Mino?" I called out again. I know I can defeat all three of them, but I can't. I can't harm him or anyone he loves deeply. I remember him resenting and crying for his parents, but he adored them.
"Stop saying my name, monster! You can't keep me away from my parents for your own selfish motives!" he yelled, and I'm not sure why I was terrified. I'm scared because he doesn't know who I am and doesn't want me to come close to him.
I'm not sure why, but seeing him fight me like this seemed to hurt my heart. He is not my Mino. I'm not sure, but I'm beginning to tear because I can't understand why I appear weak to see him despise me.
"Mino? It's me!" I pleaded, but his intense gaze on me did not shift. What is causing this severe discomfort in my heart? Why do my feet seem to want to approach him and embrace him? What am I thinking? Why does it appear like my chest hurts?
"I said stop it!" he says coldly to me. "Kill it Mino," his mother commands. Entrante! I was already shivering from what she said, but I couldn't handle it any longer when I saw Mino nodding. Entrante! You're not the Mino I recall!
I heard a gunshot a few seconds later, but I will not allow myself to feel the pain inflicted by that thing again. I was able to immediately evade Mino's gunfire, but it appears that his parents became enraged and began shooting at me as well.
I easily evaded it and soon made my way towards Mino. I grabbed the gun he was holding out of his hand and ran around to his back. I instantly pressed both of his hands against his back, making him unable to resist.
To avoid hitting Mino, his parents stopped firing. Using my strength, I dragged Mino and rushed to the window, jumping with him.
I could hear his angry shouts and his parents calling him out loudly. I hoisted him like a sack once my feet touched the grass after falling from high floor.
I increased my speed and sprinted towards the forest. I kept running as I felt his violent beating and punching my back, which I ignored.
I was startled a few seconds later when I felt what appeared to be a sharp object sunk in my back. I came to a halt and quickly let go of him. He instantly got off my shoulder and separated himself from me. When I touched my back, I noticed the large amount of blood on my palm.
I noticed how he smirked while holding a bloody silver dagger. He literally stabbed me in the back. "What will you do, Vreihya? What will you do if he's not the Mino you used to know?" I heard the deity's voice in my fading vision.
What will I do if he's not my Mino?
