Bab 49: Chapter 49 – Don’t be nervous

Given the way the extended family members, including his direct brother, pressured him when Joanna had not arrived, Alex was determined to get back at them.

"Since we have all been waiting for my wife, can you serve our food now? You could all watch us eat, just as I watched you do the same."

It was almost midnight, and they were rounding up on the wedding arrangements, but now they had to wait until whatever time Alex and his wife would finish their meals. Their expressions were not welcoming.

That was a sure sign of disrespect the elders could not take. "Alex," Uncle Dean was about to say something, but Alex shushed him, being in a good mood due to Joanna's timely arrival.

"Come on, Uncle Dean, you were so concerned about me a while ago, and I made it clear that I will eat only after my wife gets here."
