Bab 165: Not Over (Ch.165)

Neveah's hand moved in a sharp twist, snapping the fragile neck in her grasp, a piercing shriek escaped Alessio's impersonator, shaking the forest itself.

Neveah could only watch in horror as the visage of Alessio flickered, growing distorted till his entire form exploded into sparks of magic,

  The explosion released an unseen force that sent Neveah flying back through the air and crashing into the ground with bone wracking force.

Where Neveah crashed down was right in the midst of the white mist and once again, it engulfed her from all around.

A quiet gasp of pain escaped Neveah's lips as she turned over till she faced down on the ground, breathing heavily.

Neveah stared up, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She just lay there, staring up into the mist even as the whispers and whooshing sounds echoed all around her.

"Why am I still here? Is it not over yet?" Neveah whispered to herself as she struggled to calm her racing heart.
