75: The Whispering Voice 2

The jewel was making her not suspect it and its motives. She doesn't know how she's doing that. But she wondered why too. Why is she having these feelings towards this stone?

"Why…" She looked at the jewel. "Why did you call me here?" she asked.

That one question has been bothering her from the beginning…

Ever since she came back to Velhellah and started having these dreams of a whisper calling for her.

She always wanted to know if there was a reason for it all. If it was going to end. If it had any plans to reveal itself.

"You're the one who's been calling me in my dream." She circled the edge of the magic circle. "Am I right?" she asked, her eyes not leaving the stone, even for a second.

The voice giggle in her head. It sounded sweet and carefree. Like a child. "... Step into the circle and I will tell you why."
