I stood rooted on the ground staring at my friends in their embrace of love. As I looked at the two of them full of love, I realized, he'll never look at me like that. 

My eyes glued at the Incirion, my best friend's lover, a man so out of reach and impossible for me to reach. I didn't know why my heart squeezed in pain to see Zephirin claim his man. 

A part of me broke the second Zephirin sealed the Incirion's lips with his. When he wrapped his hands around Laith's waist, I choked. It's because a part of me wished that I was in his place taking Laith as my own. The train of thoughts stunned me. 

"I love you too, " Laith confessed to Zephirin. The words flowed out of his lips and crushed my soul. I lost something that I never had but it still hurt a lot. 

I stared at the them frozen on the spot, with a pained expression in my eyes.
