Bab 74: The Vampire

NIKOLAY

There was only one thing that could make Nikolay sad and happy at the same time and it was Imani. Happy because he cherished her more than immortality and sad because she hated him.

He had met her when he had been going down a very dark path and she had been the light in that darkness. She was the only person that he had wanted to be good for; she made him forget the thing he was. Eight hundred years of his life and the only time he had ever been truly happy was when he had been with her.

Leaving her when she needed him the most was a very foolish act on his part and he regretted it every single day but he couldn't exactly stay by her side when he was the reason her parents died.

"You're not supposed to be here till Thursday," a man stated as he and a couple of other men walked into the room Nikolay had been waiting in.
