"I don't know. When they questioned his kids, they didn't remember what happened so The Night Force strongly believes they were compelled by a vampire," he replied just as Adele called out, "Are you two just going to keep standing there?"

"It's my house. I can stand anywhere," Nikolay announced and Arthur drew Nikolay's attention to him when his frown became bigger. Nikolay walked up to the dining table and stopped behind Aryna's chair, fixing his eye on Arthur who was across the table. "Do you have something to say?"

Aryna slowly inhaled and turned around to look up at him, thinking he was talking to her but realized he wasn't when she saw him staring at her brother. "No," she quickly said as her eyes went to Arthur and she tilted her head at him, silently warning him to keep shut. "No, he doesn't. Or do you have anything to say Arthur?"
