Bab 401: Master of Lies

'This statue is interesting,' I said as I touched my chin thoughtfully.

The materials used to craft it were far from ordinary; they seemed to pulsate with a some kind of energy, akin to the power I sensed emanating from the katanas .

As I studied the statue more closely, I could feel something weird but not dangerous. 

There was an unsettling aura surrounding it, as if it were alive and watching me. I half-expected it to spring to life and lunge at me, its stone form morphing into a fearsome deity. 

Of course, with all my power, smashing this statue would be easy. It would fall apart like domino under my power. 

Yuki and her family, on the other hand, stood there in awe.

All of them, except her, had reverence in their eyes, as if they were gazing upon a deity. But for Yuki, who had already witnessed countless incredible sights, this one failed to stir her heart.
