Just as Evan received the message from Nekros, Amara appeared before him and slashed his neck with her sharp claws. Evan was completely unprepared for her attack as his entire attention was focused on the attacks released by the formations so he had no chance of dodging the attack.

'Damn' At the last moment just when her claws were about to sever his neck, Evan brought the blade of the axe In front of her claws to block the attack.

The sound of metal colliding against metal rang out and even though the axe was an A rank artefact, some cracks appeared on its blade due to Amara's high strength.

"Argh" A painful grunt escaped from Evan's mouth as the force of the attack was transferred to him from the blade and he flew backwards like a broken kite.
