Bab 3: New Encounter
"What!? We will really get a new home!? Awesome!", shouted Naruto and grinned from one ear to the other.
"Is that really true?", asked the still somewhat skeptical Kaito.
"You can thank the third.", nodded the same shinobi from a few days ago.
"See, brother? Gramps is a good guy." Naruto was very grateful to the old man Hiruzen.
The shinobi watching silently after giving the news only sighed inwardly. Why was he put mainly on the caretaker duty of these two?
Weirdly enough he even started to like these rascals a little bit. On the other hand, he dreaded to become a parent himself now.
"Looks that way.", nodded Kaito and was also happy about them getting a place for themselves. Somewhere, where they could be generally themselves.
They didn't have to share the room with so many other people anymore. But the most important part was now they could eat more and wouldn't be treated that badly any longer.
At least that was his thoughts. The reality was a much harsher place.
The other kids actually beat them up after hearing they would get a home for themselves.
"Damn monsters! You don't deserve anything!", shouted a kid while hitting Kaito's face. Naruto was also being ganged upon.
At some point, he got away and ran outside.
"Damn, Naruto! Wait!", shouted Kaito and punched a kid until it had nosebleeding. Then he ran after his brother.

In the cold snow, his breath was evaporating into thin smoke.
"That idiot. Where is he?" After running around aimlessly for a while he finally found him at one of his favorite places. Kaito really should have searched here sooner.
Naruto was sitting underneath a tree in the local park.
"Why did you run away? At least take your scarf and jacket with you. Otherwise, you will get a nasty cold." Kaito said those words and handed him the clothing that he took with him.
"Thanks..." Naruto thanked him while slightly shivering and took the jacket and scarf to put them on while still remaining on his spot. "Just wanted to get some fresh air is all."
Kaito reached out his hand to him. "Then let's do it together. By the way. You look funny with those bumps."
"You are one to talk.", replied Naruto with a slight blush. He was clearly embarrassed being beaten up more badly than his twin. But even Kaito had a slightly swollen eye. Not as big as his own but still visible.
Later after walking around and cooling of their anger they came across another person. Another kid in their own age group to be exact.
It was a girl with bluish-black hair and white eyes that were framed by a subtle purple outer ring.
"Hey, do you think she is lost?", asked Naruto curiously.
"Maybe, let's ask her." With that, he went ahead and came closer to the girl.
"Hey there. What are you doing so late outside? Did you perhaps get lost?", asked Kaito the girl.
The girl was a little bit surprised and fidgeted somewhat. But soon after nodded slightly.
"Why are you outside in the first place if you get lost that easily?", commented Naruto.
"I...ran away.", answered the girl.
"To get some fresh air? That is just the same as us.", grinned Kaito somewhat and pointed at himself. Then he came even closer to her and put his own scarf he was wearing around her neck.
"But going outside without the proper clothing in winter is not good. Here, take this. And don't worry. You can keep it."
That surprised her even more and she stared at him. The warmth of the scarf soon warmed up her face and she didn't feel as cold any longer. A healthy rosy color came shining through her otherwise pale skin.
"Whoa, your eyes are so white.", commented Naruto now after taking a closer curious look.
She looked at Naruto and became timid after he got so close and said that.
"Idiot, that is no way to talk to someone. She may have misunderstood you.", said Kaito while hitting his brother on the back of his head.
Naruto grumbled. "I just find them amazing. I never saw eyes like that. Why did you hit me for that? I didn't say anything bad, right?"
Kaito just shook his head lightly. "I know that they are beautiful eyes and look amazing. Just state that immediately. Maybe she is concerned about them, you know. Remember everyone mentioning our whiskers when they meet us?"
As if realizing he looked back at her. "Sorry if I hurt you. I really was just curious. They are amazing eyes." Then a big grin appeared on his face and he was all smiling.
The girl got red as a tomato after hearing both boys praising her unique eyes.
"Better. Say, what is your name?", asked Kaito now and also smiled.
That question put the girl back out of her stupor pretty fast. "Hinata."
"Hinata-chan then. Like the sunflower? A nice name. I am Kaito Uzumaki and this guy is my twin brother Naruto Uzumaki."
"Nice to meet you.", added Naruto.
Hinata smiled and nodded.
After talking a little bit more the both of them found out why Hinata ran away.
"Hmm, must be hard. But Hinata-chan. My brother and I only have each other. No matter what bad things happen we also stay together. When we are sad we never cry. I think you should be happy to know you have a home to return to. A place where a family waits for you.", said Naruto and looked a little bit solemn.
Hinata noticed that and glanced at them both while thinking about something.
"That always together part looked very differently a while ago when you ran outside without me. Speaking all cool now, are we?", smirked Kaito.
That embarrassed Naruto somewhat after realizing it himself. He only scratched his head and looked away.
Hinata chuckled lightly at that scene because she also got to know why they were outside.
And that in return made Kaito mimic her in doing so as well.
"Hey, stop laughing." Naruto pouted his cheeks.
"Don't worry. I at least know you meant it from your heart.", said Kaito.
When it became slowly darker, Kaito and Naruto lead Hinata back to her home. It took some guessing but in the end, finding an old traditional Japanese building was not that hard.
Hinata didn't even make it that far actually.
"Wow, such a big place.", commented Naruto about the Hyuga estate.
"Well, this means goodbye for now. Keep it up, Hinata. I will cheer for you." Kaito gave her a thumbs up. "And let's play together again sometime.", he added.
Hinata only nodded to them in agreement. And after they went on she looked at the two brothers small backs.
She even saw that while they walked along the path they also started to fight out a snowball match.
That brought Hinata a smile on her face. It looked fun. Come to think, it has been some time since she really enjoyed herself like today. With that precious thought in mind, this event became a precious memory to her.
"Lady Hinata. You are finally back! Your lord father was already worried about you. You need to immediately go and see him", said someone from the Hyuga clan after finding Hinata in front of the estate.
But truthfully it was a shinobi that already was watching her the whole time when she left. He also saw how she interacted with the twins.
Since her first kidnapping, her security was raised drastically after all.
Hinata only nodded and did as was said. She now had found the determination to keep up after meeting Naruto and Kaito.
She had to go this path

A little bit later the twins were nearly back.
"Hey, was I really that cool at that moment?", asked Naruto his brother. It seemed like he was still fixated to that one sentence.
When Kaito heard that he started to laugh loudly.
"Hey, don't laugh like that. That hurts my feelings!"
Kaito had to wipe away some tears from laughing. "Sorry brother. I just couldn't hold back." Then he walked onward.
"Answer the question.", pouted Naruto.
Kaito looked at him and grinned. Then he made a gesture with his right hand to show something tiny. "Maybe a little bit."
Naruto saw that and made big eyes at first. "Really? Hehe" Then a big grin appeared on his face.
After everything was said and done, they returned to that orphanage one last time. Only to later change homes permanently.
"You know. I may miss some of these jerks..."
"I know...me too," replied Kaito to Naruto.

Soulcrystal I noticed that when I started this ff there were nearly no results about Naruto and being his twin. Now sinde I started this suddenly so many ff about this topic appear. Weirdly enough they are older.
I wonder how busted the search engine in webnovel is that I didnt find them at first xD
Anyway I may think about dropping this ff entirely since there are enough ff about this topic. Anyway, we will see °~°
