Bab 6: Kazekage Rescue Arc-1
"The Kazekage, Gaara has been captured by Akatsuki. Kankuro was poisoned by the Akatsuki member Sasori, and the other person who attacked the village was Deidara."
After debriefing the mission, Team 7 was immediately told to meet at the village gate after 10 minutes to take necessary supplies.
"Shiori-sama."
A ROOT ninja with red hair, Shiori's direct subordinate, gave her a scroll containing a message from Danzo.
She read it, and then burnt it.
"Alright, in my absence, take care of the lab."
"Yes."
Picking up the rations and sealing supplies in her symbiote bagpack, Shiori left her new house, which was very close to Naruto's.
At the village gate, Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto have already arrived.
"Alright. We will fly there."
"Fly?"
Tsunade asked with surprise. In the ninja world, the only person currently who can fly on his own is the Tsuchikage, Onoki.
There are some ninjutsus to fly though, like a summoning, and Super Beast Scroll.
But Tsunade felt that this mysterious ROOT ninja she never heard of was REALLY going to fly.
In front of the eyes of Team 7, Tsunade and Jiraiya, Shiori's suit shifted and formed three weird helmets, which she handed to them.
Kakashi looked at Tsunade. He didn't really feel comfortable about having to put something suspicious on his head.
But Naruto was not so cautious.
He immediately put it on, and a tendrils went to inside his ears.
"Hyah!"
He made a weird noise as his ears were plugged, and his head was fully encased in the helmet.
Then, Shiori's suit started shifting, its volume expanding, and creating a strange kind of carriage with pointy front, and wings.
It is a plane. A fighter jet.
They were surprised by this.
Just where did Danzo find her!?
"Get in. We will reach Suna in about 30 minutes. And wear the helmets, or your eardrums will burst and your brain might turn into mush."
Naruto, without any fear and caution, sat inside on a seat, and seatbelts automatically formed around him.
"Get in! We have to save Gaara!"
Tsunade gave Kakashi and Sakura approval, and they wore the helmets, and sat inside the jet. Seatbelts automatically formed around them, and the gate closed.
"Are you guys ready?"
They heard Shiori's voice directly into their ears through the earplug in the helmets.
"We are."
Kakashi said for the team, and the symbiote jet started.
It blew large amounts of wind down, and started rising in the air.
After reaching a sufficient height, wind blasters behind the plane started, and the jet started flying in the direction of Suna.
As Tsunade saw the new Team 7 leaving, she had a complicated expression.
An unknown ninja with unknown abilities that neither she, nor Sarutobi-sensei knew about, with a very strange kekkai genkai, was hidden by Danzo for so long. And judging by the fact that she mastered the Flying Thunder God jutsu, it isn't just her kekkai genkai that is powerful. She is smart.
So, if Danzo had such a ninja by his side all this time, why did he reveal her now of all time, and set her as Naruto's 'bodyguard'?
If it was just about gathering achievements to fulfill his desire of becoming the Hokage, when Orochimaru invaded Konoha, it would have been a perfect time...
Oh. ROOT was 'dissolved' at that time. Only after Sarutobi-sensei died and the village was being run by the elders, did Danzo return out of his retirement and ROOT was 'revived'.
She just wanted to go and punch those schemers in the face!
Well, she could only hope that Kakashi will find more about her. And if anything happens, use his Mangekyo Sharingan to restrain her.
Back at the jet, it was slowly gaining speed, with more and more Wind-Style ninjutsu being pumped out to increase it's speed.
Kakashi deduced that either Shiori doesn't know Fire style, or it is her weakness. Using fire and wind in combination will lead to better propulsion afterall.
"Naruto, do you atleast know fire style? Jiraiya-sama is very proficient in fire style. It will help in making us reach there faster."
She asked, but Naruto didn't answer. He was too busy watching the scenery out of the window. Afterall, it is the first time he is flying! And maybe he actually doesn't want to answer.
Shiori sighed.
"Alright, I am increasing the speed. Hold on tight."
A mask formed around her face, and suddenly, with a jerk, the the plane's speed increased manifolds.
Everyone was stuck on the seat, and could feel the intense pressure the speed it was putting on their body.
While Naruto, who naturally has a very strong body, and Sakura, who has learned to circulate chakra throughout her body to continuously supply it for the formation of Byakugou seal, were able to withstand the pressure,
Kakashi was having a hard time. Even though his head was fine, he could feel the rest of his body loosing feeling.
Afterall, the jet was flying at around 10,000 km/hr!
Shiori realised this, and started slowing down until she deemed that Kakashi was safe.
"Sorry. I thought you could handle it."
"No... It's fine."
"Then, it will take us 2 hours. I can't fly at full speed."
"Maybe we can if we have suits like yours?"
Kakashi was fishing for information. Afterall, it's Danzo. These is no way he wouldn't have tried to replicate such a useful kekkai genkai in other people as well. Yamato is a living example of it.
If ahe can create helmets out of it, creating suits isn't too far off.
"Nah. It isn't a suit. It is a part of me. If you try to get it, you will just get eaten alive and absorbed."
"I see."
It's quite possible that it is somewhat like Hashirama cells then. The intense density of chakra these cells hold is quite similar to Hashirama cells.
Maybe there are one or two more people in the ROOT who has gotten a watered down version of her kekkai genkai. This assumption should be possible.
"By the way, why did you kiss Naruto?"
Sakura asked the question that has been on her mind. Some princesses have kissed him, but Naruto saved them. And it was never on the lips.
But she did, as if she wanted to. But Sakura had never seen her before today. Did she have some sort of connection to Naruto?
"Well... he looks cute and wild. Has immense chakra, even more than me, even after atleast 90% of his own chakra is going in suppressing Kyuubi's seal.
He is perfect for helping me in creating my own clan."
Kakashi and Sakura coughed at her statement.
'She wants to have Naruto's kids!'
They both thought, while Naruto remained blissfully unaware of the conversation, since Shiori has blocked the conversation from reaching his ears.
'Gaara, I am coming to save you!'
This was the only thought going in his mind.
