He can copy the pupil arts of other mangekyou just by looking at them. There is even no need to see or make contact. Eye of heaven will give him information like an analysis and he can copy it into his eyes. It's an amazing technique to have. He can also use it to comprehend. Moreover the copied pupil techniques can be used like his own. So even if he copied kamui there is no need to think about obito and him the same space as it'll be seprated.

Space-time shield prison, it can trap person, ninjutsu or anything in his shield. The ninjutsu can be launched back with more power if it gets trapped inside his space-time shield prison.
This is why he said his mangekyou is like another cheat. He felt happy for having such powerful mangekyou. But before that he needs contact lenses so he can copy other pupil techniques without anyone seeing his mangekyou being activated.
