Bab 17: Prelude to Duel
(3rd PoV)
Soon, the news from the Wind Daimyo's palace reached Suna and Roran.
Reto, who has just woken up, was startled by reading the report sent to him.
Ichika's sister has disappeared, and his son who is incharge of Daimyo's protection has been detained.
The Wind Daimyo has directly accused his son for killing his soon-to-be daughter-in-law because he didn't want another step-mother.
"Bullshit! It is the work of Madara!"
The news of Madara being alive and at Ichika's palace was already spread. So Madara only removed the memories of him possessing Rinnegan and Hashirama and Tobirama also being there.
So he believed it to be the work of Madara. He must have wanted Ryumyaku for some reason, and when Ichika would have refused, he took his sister!
He rationalised, and prepared to leave for Roran.
But, Ichika herself arrived at his office, kicking the door, her eyes filled with rage.
"Where is my sister!?"
The pressure from her chakra was immense. As if she now has more chakra than Shukaku.
And her horns have become longer too. Did she awaken some sort of dragon bloodline?
Ignoring those thoughts, he kicked the sword pointed at him.
"It was Madara! He must have wanted to take Ryumyaku!"
Reto quickly defended himself. He has realised that Ichika is now stronger than him just by her chakra alone.
He secretly started moving his small scorpions towards her, but a chakra tail came out of her and smashed every single one of them.
"Madara didn't come to take Ryumyaku. He came to have a chat about peace.
And Ryumyaku will never be comparable to a tailed beast.
And even if he wanted, do you think that I will be able to resist the genjutsu of someone who can put Kyuubi in genjutsu!?
Don't try to use someone else's name to hide your schemes, and tell me where is my sister!"
"I don't know!"
Ichika continued putting pressure on him, and sheathed her sword.
"And here I was thinking about compromise and agreeing to your proposal. I should have known that it was a scheme to get the key to Ryumyaku.
I challenge you for the position of Kazekage. In front of the whole crowd of Suna.
I will continue beating you up until you tell me where have you hidden my little sister."
Saying that, dragon wings sprouted from her back, and she flew up, tearing through the Kazekage Office.
She looked over the village, and amplified her voice with chakra.
"Villagers of Suna! Kazekage Reto has kidnapped my little sister, the soon-to-be daughter-in-law of the Wind Daimyo. I challenge him to a duel outside Suna, for the position of Kazekage and get the information out of his mouth!
So children and anyone not Jonin stay inside the village so that no one gets caught up in a Kage level duel!"
The entire Suna heard her, and Reto cursed in his mind, not being able to stop her. Afterall, he can't fly.
Now, his only option is to fight her himself.
As he watch her fly to the the entrance of Suna, Reto seethed and said to his secretary.
"Spread the rumours that she killed her sister just for the position of Kazekage."
The secretary hesitated for a bit, but seeing Reto's glare nodded and got to work.
Reto wore his battle armour, and headed towards the place where he will slay this fly who thinks she is a dragon just because she has gotten wings and awakened a kekkai genkai.
He will show everyone why he is the Kazekage, the founder of Suna!
