Bab 9: Soru
Ice Release: Substitution Jutsu is a self-created summoning ninjutsu by Tosaka. The technique's principle is straightforward: it opens up a space underground and exchanges the user's position with that space. This makes it an effective jutsu for waiting it out.
However, there is a drawback. If the enemy launches a large-scale ninjutsu from above, Tosaka, hiding underground, will experience the collapse and destruction of his hiding place.
For example, the Gedo Statue's huge body and the force generated by each step brougth forth a vibration on the level of a large-scale ninjutsu.
What's even more worse now is that...the original ocean surface had been frozen into ice by Tosaka!
With it now being stepped on by the Gedo Statue the ice started to crack with spider web like cracks!
Tosaka, who was hiding underground, was talking with the system when he suddenly felt water leaking from above.
'System, you mean that there is the chakra of a tailed beast on top the of the ice right now?'
'Yes.'
Tosaka was stunned, memories flooding back to the moment he was struck down by the Five Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb. Anger simmered within him.
The situation had been infuriating. Given Tosaka's strength, defeating a Jinchūriki should have been easier than that. However, after ten days and nights of relentless battle, he was utterly exhausted.
