Title: End 7
...
Shun's POV.
He's almost done...
I thought as I watched Madara unleash the strongest and most versatile area of effect Jutsu this world currently had to offer in its grassroots.
It's a Good thing Mikoto is on her way there, I doubt any one of them would survive with their body intact.
In fact, the only person actually capable of surviving is Tsunade, she could heal with each damage she receives, but the rest..."Oh? Nagi-chan is gone?"
"Hm. He left as soon as Madara unleashed that Jutsu." Nami nodded.
"And without my permission?" I asked but she only shrugged causing me to sigh. 'I guess love can make people foolish at times.' I thought as I observed a rather unique individual floating a couple meters above Madara's attack with a young lady in his arms.
"Sigh...how troublesome." I muttered and made to teleport him back but a hand fell on my arms holding it tightly. "Hmm? What's the matter?"
"I understand your penchant when it comes to control, but perhaps it's good to allow the kids to act out everyone once in a while." The owner of the hand said much to my surprise.
"Are you standing up for them now?" I asked but he shook his head. "Let them be, what will be will be, you taught me that."
"..." I looked at Fenrir for a good while before sighing. I guess he's right. I had no right to try to maintain the timeline when it comes to my children.
They've already lived reclusively for centuries due to my orders so as not to affect the timeline, but I guess towards the end...some things wouldn't still remain the same.
"I understand..." I said, but I won't allow Madara to fall here, he's still needed elsewhere. And with that thought, I brought my hands down and continued watching.
...
"Nagi? What are you doing here?" Mei asked after she managed to collect herself. She was already looking haggard from the battle against Madara, and adding the intense winds blowing against them from the effects of his latest Jutsu didn't help in keeping her appearances.
"Rescuing you obviously." Nagi said with a small smile before looking down with a frown.
"Don't do anything stupid. This guy is on a whole other level." Mei said and then looked around. "The others, help them out so we'll regroup and come up with another plan."
"That's not necessary. You're all Kages, they shouldn't die for now. And as for coming up with another plan...that's not necessary." Nagi said and pointed at Madara only for him to feel a heaviness befall him, causing him to plummet to the ground.
<Since you wish to fight with them, I'll allow you to fight like them.> Was all he heard as he felt his chakra fall from the peak 999,999 chakra units to 99,999.
"Wha!?" He mouthed, but his voice was immediately drowned by a screaming Mei.
"Shit." He said and immediately formed an anti gravity seal and slapped it on both her and Mei before controlling the wind around them, reducing the speed of descent.
"What was that!? Why'd you suddenly fall?" Mei asked as they landed a bit farther from Madara's Jutsu.
"Someone didn't like the fact that I saved you...it seems." Nagi said and shook his head.
"Your father? I'm still not sure how to feel about your family..." Mei said.
"I did tell you...my family is a bit unique." Nagi said as his star-like eyes suddenly rotated for the first time in years causing him to stretch out his hand and erect a barrier.
"As expected...I wondered why I felt a repugnant chakra." Madara's deep voice sounded as the dust cleared, showing Madara standing there with fist outstretched.
"To have made me react...you really are as strong as they say." Nagi said and immediately, his anti gravity seal flashed before Madara was blown away.
To Nagi, this was the first time in centuries his eyes had deemed it necessary to have him react to an incoming danger. And being weakened to such great lengths...
.....
Shun watched as Izanagi stood facing Madara Uchiha, the tension between them palpable. With his Six Eyes ablaze with power, Izanagi focused his gaze on Madara, his keen senses sharpened to a razor's edge as he tried to recalibrate his strength to fit his current predicament.
Madara smirked confidently, his aura radiating with an overwhelming presence. With a loud clap of his hands, he summoned forth wooden tendrils that shot at Izanagi with blinding speed.
Izanagi's six eyes allowed him to anticipate Madara's movements with uncanny precision, dodging and weaving through the onslaught of wood constructs with ease as he approached the Uchiha.
But Madara was relentless, his attacks coming fast and furious as he unleashed a barrage of wooden spikes and tendrils towards Izanagi.
With a swift motion, Izanagi countered, his Six Eyes analyzing the trajectory of each attack and responding with lightning-fast earth spikes of his own, however, they seemed weak in comparison.
'Father forbade the use of any kekkei genkai... how troublesome... however....' Izanagi thought, and in the next instant, Fire erupted from Izanagi's hands, engulfing Madara's wooden constructs in a blaze of flames.
But Madara was undeterred, as he summoned forth a powerful gust of wind to extinguish the flames and retaliate with renewed ferocity.
'Truly troublesome...' Izanagi thought before snapping his finger causing a massive seal circle slamming over 500 meters around them to appear. It was basically covering the entire area Madara's Forest Emergence laid.
"Let's level the playing field a bit." Izanagi said, and following that, a loud explosion sounded, sending everything in the vicinity sky high.
Thankfully, The Kages had already been brought out of the area during their short battle.
As the effects of the explosion died off, Izanagi wasn't surprised to see an unscathed Madara standing a distance away from him looking all annoyed.
"You're different from the other one..." He said with a frown. "But you have the same chakra...who are you? Grandchild? How disappointing."
Izanagi did a spitake upon hearing this and said. "For your information, that's my sister, and secondly, I'm restricted right now... or you'll be dead many times over. Anyways..."
But before he could finish, his figure blurred as his afterimage was slashed in two. "quite the impatient one you are eh?"
"I have no interest in playing with you any longer." Madara said in disdain as he swung his scythe and looked over to where Izanagi stood. "But you seem strong. I'll allow you all to leave. I have somewhere else to be."
As he said that, he jumped and in a few jumps, he was out of their views.
"Nagi!!"
"Mei...you're all alright?"
"Hmm. Why'd he leave?"
"Why else? Of course I scared the living hell out of him." Nagi said with a smirk that caused Mei to snort.
"Anyways, how are they?" Shun asked and Mei shook his head.
"Only Tsunade, Kaito and Gaara made it out alright. Ai lost an arm, Ohnoki is at death's door." Mei said with a somber tone.
"At least they're alive." Izanagi said nonchalantly. "Have Tsunade heal them up, I can feel someone coming over, she'll help her out. Come." He said and immediately held Mei and disappeared from the spot before reappearing in the room Shun and the others were in.
"You're back...and with guest too..." Shun said without sparing the man a glance. His eyes were fully focused on the screen showing a large thunderstorm moving speedily towards the spot Izanagi had just left.
Shun had an excited smile as he watched that he didn't seem to care about Mei who just appeared and was seeing her man's family for the second time in two days.
Izanagi smiled wrly before bringing Mei to sit elsewhere before turning to the screen to see who was making Shun excited.
The scene, as though understanding their thoughts, switched to show three Humans standing atop the clouds with Anel standing proudly, as though a kind descending on the world..... Wait, hold up, Wrong world.
Anel stood with all his majesty as his chakra oozed off him to form the thunderstorm they were currently riding.
Not too far from them in the sky, a flying earth dragon flew, as the flapping of its wings generated enough winds to turn any human to mincemeat.
Atop the giant dragon stood the other Kages together with Mikoto and Yuki who were all looking at the sight below them in awe and some minor exception.
"Are you sure this thing is safe, Mud head...?" Yuki asked as she looked at the winds with fear. Despite all her strength, she wasn't even sure she could withstand it with her body.
Her chakra affinity was Earth and she learnt it in-depth. She could condense an earth chakra armor around her body but...once again, the winds generated by these wings...it was terrifying.
"Who did you think created the Light Body Technique? I've been around far longer than you, brat. Nothing will happen to you. By controlling the electro-magnetic forces around the earth itself, I can create a barrier by counteracting some minor....why am I telling you this?" The man stopped talking and looked away. "You'll be alright."
"Tch, don't think you're some hot stuff old man, I can also do this if I wanted to." Yuki said.
"If you say so brat." The old man waved at her and focused back on the thunderstorm moving ahead of them.
"A familiar chakra...." Mikoto said suddenly while diverting her eyes from the thunderstorm to the floor below them.
She had been trying to see if she could understand how the man known for his lightning ability could create such a heavenly beauty.
To create storms, one had to understand both the lightning and water elements to their peaks before being able to combine them...though some could be born with it innately.
"Uchiha Madara." Tobirama replied as he too fell the anarchy of chakra energies clashing below.
"Huh, I was going to say a Senju but you're also right... Madara was here too...and so is Tsunade." Mikoto replied after giving Tobirama a disdainful glance.
"Oh? Tsuna was here?" Hashirama asked while Hiruzen looked interested.
"Hmm...'Is' still here. Although faint, I can feel she is still in the area...and they're some others with him..." Mikoto said with a frown, afraid to truly finish.
"They're close to dying." Orochimaru said and licked his lips nervously, not that it was noticed by anyone.
"..."
A sudden and heavy silence fell on the group as they continued their aerial movement.
"I won't be that necessary in the war...I'll check out her condition." Mikoto said with a sigh. She was mildly compelled to put the war situation as her priority. whether it was the Edo Tensei seal effect or otherwise, she didn't know.
"I'll go with you." Orochimaru offered and Mikoto nodded.
"That's well and good but will you both go down?" Ishikawa asked.
"We'll simply jump. Any objections, Orochimaru?" Mikoto asked.
"Kukukuku, isn't it just falling to our deaths?" Orochimaru asked with a weird laugh.
"Then it's decided." Mikoto said, and with a flash step, she was beside Orochimaru, and in the next, they were free falling from the dragon.
"Wha- wonderful, how did you do that?" Orochimaru asked.
Scientifically speaking, he was fully aware that merely jumping down from the giant lizard would destroy their physical body, yet, here he was, flying down as though he wasn't just moving at near Mach 2, an instant ago.
Mikoto however looked at him weirdly and asked. "For someone who has that light in the eye, why does it look like you have little understanding of who I am?"
"Huh?"
"You struck me as someone similar to my elder brother..." Mikoto said as though in thought. "It's surprising that someone in search of mysterious truths doesn't even know this much about Chakra."
"I'm...not following."
"Hmm. We're almost close. There, prepare for landing." She said before pointing somewhere. "There. I can feel Tsunade's chakra over there."
Orochimaru being quite the experienced Shinobi was quick to think and wrapped his body with a bit of lightning and in less than a second, they made contact with the ground.
The impact created a crater in the now burnt ground, while Mikoto elegantly landed on the ground beside him. The noise of their entrance was all too loud to capture the now conscious Kages.
"One...I'm curious about you. Two...that was exhilarating." Orochimaru said as he walked out of the crater he formed. His body twisting and contorting as it repaired itself.
"Quite the regeneration factor. It's impressive." She said in appreciation on seeing Orochimaru's intriguing healing method.
"Damn...Madara must've had a field day with the bunch of you." Mikoto said as hers and Orochimaru's figure came to the view of the group. "You present quite the endearing sight, Tsu-chan."
"Who..?" Tsunade, already exhausted from the combined fatigue of having to fight Madara at her peak power and then healing up the other Kages.
"You've looked better, Tsunade..."
"That voice.... Orochimaru..? So you've come too..." Tsunade said surprised before her expression changed to one of mild despair.
"..."
"You... whatever have you done to my dearest niece?" Mikoto's eearily low voice asked.
"We've shared quite some time together, Mikoto-dono," Orochimaru said as he smiled weakly.
"Niece..? Wha-...this voice..." Tsunade muttered in shock. "It can't be...Mikoto-ba-chan?" She asked before her eyes blazed in anger. "Orochimaru! Have you fallen so low?!"
"Whoa whoa there, Tsunade, I'm innocent here." Orochimaru raised his hands in surrender.
"Stand down Tsunade, the brat couldn't possibly control me...and it seems you've grown so much since we last saw each other." Mikoto said as she walked up to Tsunade and placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Mikoto-ba-chan...you...how...I've missed you..." Tsunade said but didn't get overly excited.
"Yeah, you sure did...to think that you leave your allies this way after a battle." She said before she flexed her chakra and enveloped the area with her domain.
Within the Domain, a soft permeating feeling suddenly invaded everyone's body, but before any of them could panic, they witnessed a visible change on their body and mind.
"You've all been healed to the best of your abilities, Ai, I can only tell you not to use that arm carelessly. It's still loose around the edges."
"Huh." Ai replied as he flexed his new arm, his once vacant shoulder now had an arm attached to it.
As for Ohnoki...well, his hunched back was now better, the other present Kages too.
"You must be the Hanakage...to think the village has fallen so low..." Mikoto said while whispering the last part to herself.
'I also didn't ask for this. I was content being an average captain in charge of just Lazing around...what Investigation? There was no threat to the village worth my attention...Spare me the temper.' Kaito thought.
On the side, Orochimaru stood beside Tsunade as she observed Mikoto give orders to the other Kages. "To think the day would come where I would see this expression."
Tsunade, hearing this, suddenly frowned and turned to him. "What expression?"
"The one of a lost kid who just found her dearest person." Orochimaru said with a bit of melancholy which Tsunade noticed and continued listening. "The last time you wore this expression...I think we three were just as excited about becoming Shinobi...too bad one of us isn't here to see this."
"..."
"..."
"He couldn't stay still knowing a friend was going astray." Tsunade said bitterly.
"He was always an idiot, the kind you'd want to kill but can't." Orochimaru said, causing Tsunade to look at him.
"At least give respect to the dead, can't you say something nice?"
"But that was a compliment." Orochimaru said seriously, causing Tsunade to just give up.
"The prophecy... the world is about to end and he isn't here to see it." Tsunade said.
"At least the prophecy did actually come true... this should prove he wasn't that much of an idiot..." Orochimaru said.
"Oi oi, that wasn't nice to say about your old teammate." A familiar and annoyed voice sounded astonishing the two who looked at the arrival. "Tsunade, Orochimaru...it's been sometime."
"You... Jiraiya? You're alive?" Tsunade asked in shock more than joy at seeing her teammate and friend. One has to know that even the toads had said his name had disappeared...How could he possibly still be alive?
"Of course I'm alive... practically felt death wash over me for an instant before I was pulled back by one idiot I just came to understand was literally a god." Jiraiya said and shook his head at the words.
Saying it out loud, he realized how unbelievable it sounded.
"Oh? Shun saved you?" Orochimaru asked as he gave the man a once over. Jiraiya was stupid and liked to tell jokes, but even his jokes had a lot of truth in them.
'Death Washed over him and he was still brought back... Interesting.' he thought as his eyes turned predatory for an instant before returning back to its normal state.
"Eesh...did you guys feel that cold air?" Jiraiya said jokingly as he looked around. 'That bastard is probably watching all this from that stupid room of his.' he thought.
"Then how did you get here? This is..." Tsunade looked around and saw the destruction as far as his eyes could see. "...very far from any village I know of."
"Yeah, I was suddenly dropped off not too far from here." Jiraiya said with a shrug. "The only thing he left for me was this note that read; Head north as fast as possible. I promised someone a surprise."
Jiraiya said as he handed a note over to Tsunade. "But to think that this old lady was this beautiful...what a waste of life I've had."
As he said that, he suddenly got a tingly feeling in his gut which mildly asked him to move away, and being the man he was, he was quick to reply, fortunately dodging a punch being thrown at his head.
"That was close! What was that Tsunade..?!" Jiraiya shouted at the Hokage but only got a glare in return.
"Hahaha, I was just messing around." Jiraiya chuckled with an embarrassed expression while scratching his head with his one good hand. "Looks like your luck is as horrible as ever...you couldn't even win against me."
"Humph. As if you'd die to some lousy kids." Tsunade snorted and looked away, but in the corner of her eyes, tears began to pool. "Idiot."
"Haha, I'm sorry about...it seems like The Tales of Jiraiya The Gallant isn't over yet." Jiraiya said with bravado.
Shun watched all this and laughed gently before turning to look to the main battlefield, and almost similarly to the original timeline, Madara and Obito were about to throw the Massive Bijuudama that'll decimate the Shinobi alliance while the Kages were enroute.
And in a few seconds, the massive Bijuudama shot towards the alliance. Gigantic earth walls after gigantic earth walls rose up in defense, but all fell under the might of the steaming ball of destruction, and finally, Bee.
And while Bee struggled against the ball, it suddenly vanished. "Huh?" He muttered in confusion while Naruto standing not too far from the ball suddenly closed his eyes in relief.
*Thwack!
*Swish!
"Hope I'm not too late..." The new arrival asked and Naruto shook his head.
"You came right on time...I've been waiting for you all."
