Regaining control was a swift process, the entity shoving Mirabella's consciousness back into the shadowy recesses of her mind. Yet, as the smoky tendrils of control reasserted their hold, the entity found itself devoid of any memory of what had transpired during the kiss.

A hint of unfamiliarity lingered, and the entity, now fully in charge, moved Mirabella's hand to wipe her lips with an inexplicable disgust. Tristan's amused smirk was not lost on the entity, and it prompted a cold glare from Mirabella's icy-blue eyes.

"What the hell was that?" Mirabella snapped, venom dripping from her words. Her piercing blue eyes shot daggers at Tristan, her anger tangible in the icy air between them.
