Bab 23: Flirting with one, sleeping with another Part 2

If it wasn't the curiosity to find out who her father who remained a secret until now was, the desire to unravel the secrets behind Axel made Lanying agree to go in a second meal with him.

Considering that the time was now near evening and close to dinner, the two of them went back down to the restaurant which had a completely different ambience than in the morning.

Unlike the bright and lively atmosphere in the morning, with the entire place being covered with lit up candles, the entire place looked very romantic to dine at making Axel feel things were going his way.

Also, since tomorrow was the day the Goddess would wake up, most of the hotel's guests who were cultivators didn't step out of their room and we're making their final preparations in hopes of winning somehow or the other by overcoming all odds.

Moving to a table which was placed in the corner near the window, Axel and Lanying who chose this unanimously for their own reasons sat at the opposite sides.

Axel chose this particular table since he felt it looked comfy, while Lanying chose it because she felt it gave them more privacy and space.

After all, considering what she had in her mind, Lanying would rather stay in a corner instead of at the centre table where everyone could see what she was doing.

"Would you like to drink anything?"

Shaking her head since she wanted to stay sane and not get drunk because this meal was her way to obtain information about her father, and she had something very important to do tomorrow, Lanying rejected Axel but told him to feel free to drink if he wanted.

Rejecting the option not because he didn't want to get drunk, but because the alcohol on Earth wasn't enough for him, Axel just ordered some food for them.

"What do you want to do until the food arrives?"

Being someone new to dating, Axel who only had one trick under his sleeve, which was making them drink their brain out, chose to ask Lanying about what she wanted to do.

Unfortunately, she was also someone who never really went on many dates. And the only reason she accepted this one was for special reasons.

So, she could only turn awkward and look around nervously to come up with an idea on what they should do.

"Ummm... Where are you from?"

Having smiled with ease until now, Axel who didn't expect such a question almost turned nervous and caused Lanying to turn suspicious.

Luckily, he blurted out the name of some city in USA because according to the others, he looked more western than eastern.

Nodding her head, Lanying continued with asking Axel more and more questions turning the date into an interrogation.

Did you go to college?

What was the last book you read?

Are you a morning person?

How many languages do you speak?

At first, the questions seemed normal and not anything too weird, but soon the questions started going more and more out of Axel's expectations.

What is your idea of a romantic evening?

How many kids do you have?

What if the longest relationship you've been in?

In fact, other than the questions turning weird, Lanying didn't even seem to be paying attention to the answers as she kept on firing off the questions one after the other.

It was only now that Axel noticed something which caused him to bite his lower lip and smile.

Lanying had a phone in her hand and she was literally reading the questions off of it.

Therefore, he decided to try and answer the questions as uniquely as possible and see if Lanying would notice.

"What do you want the partner you're on a date with to do the most?"

Smiling at this near-perfect question, Axel said, "I'd like her to strip naked and dance on the table. What about you?"

"Ah? Me too."

Freezing after she said the answer, Lanying furiously blushed before laughing out loud and realizing what it was that she was doing until now.

Along with this laugh, Lanying no longer felt nervous and started doing what she originally set her mind to do.

Seduce Axel and find out information about her father which even her mother refused to reveal.

Stretching one of her long legs forward, Lanying brought it near Axel's waist when she suddenly felt a hand clamp down on her ankle and stop it before she could reach his privates.

"I don't mind you trying to do this, but I'd prefer it if you removed your heels before doing this."

Blushing furiously, Lanying pulled her leg back and didn't try to do the same thing again during the night.

Instead, she only did simple acts of seduction like touching his arm, feeding him the food she ordered, and so on.

At the end however, both of them only sighed at how the night was a complete bust.

They neither managed to seduce the other one, or enjoyed a proper date which brought them close to each other, making them feel as if their relationship was still in the same place it was before they went on this date.

If there was anything which changed, Axel who spent so long looking at this graceful beauty felt a little too turned on to try and sleep before having sex.
