He leaned on one arm behind him, and the other was kept free as if for gesturing. "You knew how to knit without getting an apprenticeship from a master knitter then?"

The angel felt like the conversation was a little strange. She then locked the thread and needles before putting them down on the 'pool' in the middle of her crossed legs.
