"Lady Ellis!" Callum ran off as soon as he saw Artie launched herself towards the enemy. He stopped trying to shoot them down with his bow and drew his sword. He hacked down the bandits that went past him, but he still ran forward to get to her spot. Even Grem and two more knights did the same. They all knew that skinning them alive was the least Larkin would do to them if something happened to their archduchess.

Their eyes bulged out and their breaths hitched when the sword drove through Artie's small-framed body. Her hair was still up in a bun so they clearly saw the blade pass through. Dead. They were more than dead!
