"Thank you... for saving me?"

Hearing the sudden drawl in his mind, Ling Jiu was shocked as he looked around before landing his eyes on the dragon. "It was you speaking?"

"Yes!"

The 80-meter-long dragon monster nodded its big head. "I left in a hurry the other day and did not have the time to thank you. So today, I'm officially thanking you for your life-saving grace."

"Uh.... you're welcome?"

The monster could actually speak! 

Ling Jiu was a little shocked, but after pondering for a bit he felt it was actually normal. 

Back on Earth, a Class 8 Direbeast possessed intelligence no inferior to humans. 

Class 9 Direbeasts could speak the human tongue, and it was said that even more powerful monsters could change their size at will. 

The great dragon before him was certainly of Class 9 or even higher. So it would not have been out of space for it to speak, even though it was an alien creature.
